As a newbie, how long will I be restricted to 2 assignments a month for with Gap or is this dependent on my perfomance?

Did anyone came across a phone call after REALLY LONG proofreading asking you to amend your report due to misspelling, grammar errors and TOO MANY details ? I have copies of every report I did and I’m 100% sure there is no mistakes, as I did spell check twice before submitting report .. I checked this now, once again as I got copy of submitted report back to make changes; there is nothing wrong with this report and the funnies thing is I didn’t find even one mistake mentioned during phone conversation, apart from many details.. What can be reason of this request ? Could it be, because of my really negative feedback adequate to the quality of customer service I was offered and generally regarding location I visited that day ?

I think perhaps they are referring to gramatical errors; some of which are displayed in your post above. You appear to miss out plurals for one thing. I'm not an English teacher but it doesn't read right to me. Can you run your report comments through WORD first to do a grammar check? This might help.

Oh RE how silly you are!!

I've had a query on a report for a visit a few days ago.
There were 7 members of staff when I entered 3 were serving customers at the tills, and 4 were helping customers on the shop floor. There was approximately 28 customers. I input all this where asked. Except I must have mistyped as it appears I have put 77 MoS!!
Now common sense would realise this as human error, but the message from RE?

"Can you state what the other 70 staff members were doing when you entered the store?" :rotfl:

No mention of the fact though that I said waiting 4 minutes to be approached was perfecctly reasonable given the level of business in the store though given that there should still have been 49 extra staff than customers!! :D

Just catching up on whats been happening....this so made me laugh first thing in the morning! Hilarious!

It's frustrating isn't it!! I had 148 when I looked, and there was only 1 nearby enough to make it even slightly worthwhile, but it was the Health Shop, and for their small fee, and reimbursement only for specific products, which I don't want or need, it's just not worth it for an RE report!

480 on my page and none worth breaking the RE ban for. Either too far or too low.

There is one at a train station that I can do next week...but I just can't bring myself to accept it!! I'd rather buy the stuff out of my pocket, or just take my own snacks.

Could somebody clarify something for me: Gap pizza buffet- it says 1 buffet and 2 drinks for up to 2 people. Sorry if this is really stupid: but does that mean you get 1 buffet and 2 drinks each? That's how I read it, but I know what they're like and generous as I am, I'm not paying for somebody else's buffet :D
hhmmmmm i read it as 1 BUFFET AND 2 DRINKS. they give £xx back so i thought if other person makes it go over this you pay the difference. but im new to this so if someone knows the real answer please help x

(another) tax question for you guys!

I have a macbook, which I love, but I keep coming across companies that use non-compatible software, or they use excel with macros which don't work on a mac. So I'm looking to possibly get a netbook/small windows laptop so that I can actually get some work from these companies. Now I know that I'd be able to offset this against my tax, as it wholey and exclusively for MSing. So my question is, if I buy one in America, can I still offset the tax? Or is it just not worth the hassle?

Also am I right in thinking that I would have to claim 50% in the first year, and the rest the next year? If I have to buy one in the UK and then split the tax rebate then I might not be able to justify the cost or I'd have to settle on something that isn't as useful as I'd want it to be.
