GabGab*mum wrote: »Did anyone came across a phone call after REALLY LONG proofreading asking you to amend your report due to misspelling, grammar errors and TOO MANY details ? I have copies of every report I did and I’m 100% sure there is no mistakes, as I did spell check twice before submitting report .. I checked this now, once again as I got copy of submitted report back to make changes; there is nothing wrong with this report and the funnies thing is I didn’t find even one mistake mentioned during phone conversation, apart from many details.. What can be reason of this request ? Could it be, because of my really negative feedback adequate to the quality of customer service I was offered and generally regarding location I visited that day ?
Hi, I've just had a quick glance at your message and have noted at least 15 mistakes. You are missing out a lot of the 'the's and 'a's. I was an English teacher and the way this reads it seems like English isn't your first language. English sentences are constructed in a different way to other languages.
You could try running it through a grammar checker but I'm not sure that would pick up the errors you are making. I don't really know what to suggest, unless you have someone at home who could read the reports through before you submit them.
Perhaps someone else here has some suggestions?0 -
Ok, i have 6 1/2 hours left at work and nothing to do!
Done all my 'normal' work
No edig surveys
Joined the companies i wanted to last week
Done all my things on my 'things to do list'
Read the newspaper
What on earth am i going to do!!!!!I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Maybe it's the too many details that's the problem.
I agree that there are a lot of mistakes in the post and I'm not an English teacher.
Word picks up grammatical errors, though it's not perfect.:cool:0 -

I've just noticed you are Polish, so I think the main problem is the sentence construction which, as Blindman suggested, may be picked up by running it through Word grammar checker.0 -

You must certainly work for the public service. If I were you, I'd LOOK BUSY! There's a recession on you know! Could you perhaps count how many sheets of paper are left in an already opened ream?

Nope afraid not i'm privet sector. And my contract only runs to December 31st cos they are trying to downsize (i'm first out which i'm fully aware of).
No boss in the office, she's only here half the time so no need to look busy. Monday and tuesday are always quiet but work seems to be getting slower and slower latley.
Anybody got any good site for more penny making lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

I could only withdraw £10 for some reason so did that and promptly got them to send me a cheque which arrived 2 days later. £3.61 spent on playing more games but nothing won so account balance zero. Gambling account now closed and I didn't have to give any bank details. That might take up a bit of your time and you could win something.
That would be perfect if the Germans didn't have control of our computer system and ban everything! No facebook, ebay, gambling, social networking etc etc Some of my surveys i can't do as i'm logged as coming from a german computer.
Noted for when i get home though.
Next ideaI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0
