No. You can get stainless steel ones. You need to go to a top end bathroom shop. John Lewis also do them I think. They never rust, but coe at a price. A customer of mine bought one and t was £55! But you will need to drill it into the tiles.

Was just looking at this one. I don't mind paying £30 if it doesn't rust but I can't be sure it won't. Plus I would have to drill into the tiles, which I'm reluctant to do. I think it's either that or do without one altogether I think!

Stainless steel does not rust! If it's rusting it's not stainless steel.

The draining board on my kitchen sink has a couple of rust marks on it - only small and the sink is about 7 0or 8 years old - but it definitely looks like rust.

I have been looking at this one

pricey but if it lasts 5 years it will be worth it and if it doesn't I should be able to get my money back. Also, the walls wouldn't have to be drilled into, although the fact that it is so low is a bit off-putting.

The reason your kitchen sink draining board is rusty is that many kitchen sinks now that are supposed to be stainless steel infact only have stainless steel bowls and the rest is chrome plated ordinary steel. if you look under your sink you will see a weld mark where the stainless steel bowl is welded to the top. And to test it, get a magnet and place it on the draining board - it will stick just as ordinary steel does. Now put the magnet in the bowl - it won't stick as stainless steel is not magnetic.

You could try this one that fits over your shower head...

  • Why cant you go for rubber wood or natural bamboo toilet caddies. Their base is made of richwood with chrome plated steel accents. I am using shower caddies of Better living from last year. I didn’t find any rust issues in that. As it holds a lot of things like magazine, tissue roll etc, I feel it more convenient. I would prefer you the same.

  • On this subject does anyone know if it is possible to get a modern looking design caddy in Black? I have searched everywhere but can only find a couple which don't have the modern look I am after.

    Any advise would be appreciated.
