    Up to 45% today.

Natwest have told me not to make overpayments to my loan online as it will mess up the term and they may continue to take my monthly payment after the loan is paid off. They want me to telephone to make all payments so they can 'apply it correctly'. That makes no sense as there are no early repayment penalties and the interest is applied quarterly at a variable rate. My standing order payment is the same every month and has been since before interest rates went down, so I'm already 'overpaying'.

It would really cramp my style to have to telephone to make my PADs so I'm going to call back tomorrow. I think they're wrong.

    45% :T

That is really inconvenient of Natwest. I save up all my PADs and send a cheque at the end of the month to Bank of Scotland. I don't know if that would make a difference, if you send them a cheque so that they can 'apply it correctly' :rotfl: Good luck.

Well I spoke to someone with a bit of sense at Natwest this morning who confirmed that because of the type of loan that I could make online overpayments without any issue. She even apologised for her colleague!

I'm just glad I can do it. Makes life a lot easier to just log into my online banking and deal with everything there. I couldn't handle sending cheques!

First earnings from my second job of £7.10 towards my Make £10 a Day challenge. 12 items listed on eBay last night (thanks to DH) so hoping for some more payments soon.

That's great you've got it sorted out. I can't make payments online as I bank with the bank and have a loan from them. They say it is for "money laundering purposes". I don't see how I can't pay from my current account to my loan account. Where is the money laundering there? Anyway, you're doing great!

That doesn't make any sense to me - my current account is with Natwest too. They just like to make it difficult!

    Make £10 a Day -
£10 Amazon voucher from a survey site. I decided that I would only count cash, not savings on purchases etc, but this voucher is as good as cash and is the start of the Christmas fund.
£140 from scrapping my car. I've had it a long time and I was really sad to see it go but it wasn't worth it to keep it in good repair. I'm having a company car in the next few weeks so need to rely on lifts for a while - hate it!

I don't think I'm going to have any problems hitting my target for this month!

Glad you got the loan sorted. I can only overpay mine online by constantly amending a standing order - they were wrong though if they hoped that would put me off paying them every day!

Great news on the DFD of Dec 2012 too. :D

The £10 challenge is great for motivation isn't it? What second job do you have?

    Up to 46% and under £13k today :j :j

I told DH last night that we were going to get there today and he said "didn't we just get under £14k?". I checked and it was 10 days ago OMGWTF?!

Feeling very very good about debt busting this month.

:j Wow mrsb! Amazing work from you! £1000 in 10 days! If I were you I would be laughing hysterically :rotfl: If I could manage that, my loan would be paid off in 20 days! Fantastic! Well done :)
