  • mrsb I'm so chuffed for you!! :D What a great feeling having paid off the overdraft. I remember when I got rid of mine and I have never had one since. I don't need one. As long as I keep on top of the figures and the DDs and SOs then I don't have to worry.

Good luck for your next challenge :)
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76

    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
  • Thank you GAP! It's a great feeling isn't it?

I'm not going to cancel my overdraft. I don't think I'll ever go into it again, because I budget so closely, but I see no reason to cancel it.

  • I cancelled mine because I didn't trust myself. I still don't when it comes to that. I budget very closely too but it is easer not having the overdraft because that way I have to stick to the budget. I tend to use the cc for extras (naughty) but I pay it off each month. You must be so pleased though! No overdraft for the first time in 10 years. Wow!

Well done on clearing the overdraft! :T:T:T

When I cleared mine I reduced it to £100 - I didn't want to risk slipping up and going over the limit with anything but at the same time didn't want the temptation to use the previously massive one I had in place!

Have you thought about joining the £10 a day thread for some motivation with ebaying? :)

  • Interesting - I'm going to think about what I want to do with the overdraft carefully. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I have thought about the £10 a day thread and I think I'm going to join for November - I need a major kick up the !!!!! An extra £300 would be awesome :D

  • DH is out for the night on Friday so I'm going to use the chance to sort through things and photograph at least 8 things for eBaying.

    Hit 43% today.

The interest on the Natwest loan is applied quarterly, the next being tomorrow. It always messes my snowball up but I have my fingers crossed that come 1st October I'll be able to move my DFD to December 2012.
