Return Train tickets will cost me £80 including all the hassle of carrying the luggage and 2.5hr train journey.
So train is definitely a no no.

£75 for 2 weeks parking near an airport isn't that expensive at all really. Find a street in surrounding areas and get a taxi is your next best bet.
£56 http://www.gatwickparking.net/0 -
Try Tudor Rose,
http://www.tudorrose.co.uk
you pick up a driver at their base (5 mins from terminals) who takes you to the airport in your own car, then takes it away and parks it.
On your return you ring from customs and they bring your car back to the airport you then drop the chaufeur back at the car park on the way to the motorway.
this service cost £36.90 for a week in September compared to £53 (inc 10% disc at BCP)
They do say that if they are very busy a minibus may be used for the return but for £2.50 a day they do some extras and guarantee a chaufeur.
I had this recommended to me and will be using it for the first time next month.
Not really cheaper but does avoid the hassle of a bus transfer to the airport.
Good luck

Travelodge (gatwick) you don't have to book a room - you can pay for parking - very cheap and get a transfer - see details on their website - if you do want to book a room do it at least 6 days in advance and it will be £25. Hope that helps.0

As a long time lurker I have finally decided to post. My partner and her friend are heading of to NYC tomorrow and they have been let down on a lift to heathrow. So now they need to get car parking and transport to the terminal PDQ, any ideas or suggestions.
Hope you can help

To go along with my nice cheap HK flights and hotel I need parking for Heathrow. Ive checked out https://www.holidayextras.co.uk and that comes out at £48, any alternative sites for 6 nights parking?0

Sorry I don't have the answer for this. In fact, we are looking to park the car for three weeks, but all I can find is about 99+ pounds. Any better deal?
Thanks in advance0 -
I park on-street every time - local bus for £1.10 each way which runs 24/7/365 and takes about 10 minutes.
PM me if you want to know where!0
