I have a slatted base bed does this make a difference to which type of mattress I should buy?

    JustBe

Yes it does. Pocket sprung mattresses aren't usually suitable for slatted bases, as the springs work independently, and will try to push down between the slats.

However you can lay a sheet of pegboard or hardboard over the slats to spread the weight out.

    I wouldn't bother. I don't think it's even worth that much.

They haven't cancelled mine yet but they have taken the funds from my account. I've been reading varying opinions and still don't think I fully understand, if they have actually taken the money is there some argument that they should sell it to you?

    Hiya
Ive had this happen to me quite a few times when companys make a price error online. It took me a while to understand but this is what posted earlier,............

Hiya altho the money has been taken, its actually the bank that still has it. Until you get a dispatch e-mail telling you when delivery is, Argos still dont actually have the money for it. So if argos do cancel the orders, they are aloud to do so, as altho the money is showing as no longer in your account, argos havent got it. The bank holds onto it until it is dispatched. the same happeneds if you buy your shopping online to be delivered. You pay for it the day its delivered. I really hope tho that they honour it for all of you, and ill keep my fingers crossed xxx

This isn't always the case. Some big companies have a holding account with the bank, but most companies don't. In either case it's the credit card merchant company that has the money for a few days until it either goes into the holding account, or into the retailers account. But whatever happens they can still cancel your order and refund you.

If a transaction is cancelled within that working day, then the payment can be voided, and won't even come out of your account. If it isn't cancelled that day then it will have to be refunded, which can take a few days.

So with the £129 offer, do we also get the £10 voucher for spending over £100?

Well that would make it £119, but I still wouldn't pay that for a Silentnight mattress.
