Hi me and my mum run a ironing service and we advertised in the handbook last year paid £1500 and got no customers from it, we was then informed that the handbook was never handed out there was quite a few of the other people who advertised in it that have sued that company so im quite suprised they are still doing it.

I got mine free of charge from the Trust with my wages. Go to your HR Department and ask for your first medical NHS Gold Privilege Card and they will give you one. All the businesses who accept the Gold card and give disounts are listed on www.DiscountsNHS.com website.

there should be things in it like hairdressers, limos, property abroad adverts ect ect I run a ironing service with my mum we advertised in the wigan nhs booklet last year they didnt even hand it out and we spent over £1500 on the advert! so its a rip off anyway!

I've heard of a new site coming out for the NHS and emergency services that will provide discount. Its called the Blue Light Card and they have a site at www.bluelightcard.co.uk. It looks really good and like it could be like this card you mentioned

To all nhs employees - don't get ripped off by companies offering nhs staff discounts by selling them discount cards. If you are a genuine nhs employee, just go to your hr department and they will give you your first medical nhs gold privilege card FREE OF CHARGE. Companies selling 'discount cards' to nhs staff are just trying to make a quick buck

We get discounts atlocal shops, pubs,bars, restaurants, hairdressers, beauty salons, car dealers, local solicitors and many more, some offer up to 50% off.
