This one would do you perfectly. You plug the modem into this box. This then can have multiple devices connected, so PC, laptop, iPhone, Xbox etc.

Another question:o Reading abt Xbox Live, it says you can download movies and pay for them. How do you pay for them? And how much?

Using debit/credit card. You buy it through the xbox, just typing in details like you would a normal shopping site. I imagine anyway. This is one way to top up your xbox live subscription so I think it would be the same procedure.

Thanks. Reading more, I presume you also have to pay to download games? Even with Xbox live gold? And Sky player?So the only free stuff is chatting and playing online with other gamers?? Hmmm...:cool:

Haha yes.

Demo's are free too to download. If you have sky in the house he can watch it through his xbox (I think you may need multibox service with Sky? Not 100% on that though) if you tell him the account info.

No we don't have Sky..... Going to have to have a chat with him, afraid I won't be paying for movies etc....

With PS3 do you have to buy a sub like Xbox? I know PS3 is dearer but was wondering if it would work out cheaper, I guess I would still need a router?

You would need the router but nothing else (unless you wanted a headset as well). PS3 can also play Bluray discs, so if you / DS(DD?) has a big TV they can watch HD movies on bluray discs.

That was my reason to buying a PS3. Means I didn't have to buy an Xbox + Bluray player.
