Not fully up-to-speed on the workings of CR diesels, but putting petrol in them is worse than doing so in the old unit-injector diesels, due to the fuel being used as a lubricant (or at least, it is for the CR version of my car, compared to mine). A friend put £10 of petrol in their diesel Seat and drove 5 miles. Didn't realise until they went to start it a few hours later and it didn't. Drained the tank the next day and put a few litres of derv in to get to the filling station. Filled up and things have been fine ever since. Maybe luck was on their side that day.
You've nothing to lose by draining and filling with derv
Same thing happened to my son , Oh towed his car to our workshop , it was drained , had a new filter , and its fineVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
