His delivery esitmate has well gone.
Where would I stand with a refund for a missing parcel? Can I check it been posted as it was recorded delivery?

It is the seller's responsibility to get the goods to you and this overrides any nonsense the seller may state in his listing.0 -

Well I'm a bit concerned the parcels gone walkabouts now or I've been scammed, if he has prove of postage, how would I go about getting a refund?

Rubbish. I normally post the day after I receive payment, but I have a post office within walking distance of my office.
However, I cycle to work and sometimes the parcel won't fit in my bag. On these occasions I ask my OH to post it, but if he can't do it for any reason the seller may have to wait another day.
No big deal, as a buyer I can wait a couple of days - the world isn't going to end if my item is a day or two late.
But that's you. And very cooperative of you. But if your buyer sees it as slow, you get marked down. This particular seller has waited two working days to post, or one and a half. I don't think that is acceptable.
For the OP, as you have paid seven days ago, I would wait a few days and stick an INR in.0 -
