Nope, I just sent him an email asking for the tracking details today so I could track the parcel, I was perfectly polite and courtious.

what are you going to track?
    its recorded delivery
suppose you could track it after it arrives?
  • I was hoping to get a tracking ID, so I could track it online.

I am very raraly at home to sign for the package, so if I could track it, I could make arrangment for someone to be around.

At least you can get confirmation that the goods have been posted.

    the tracking tells you nothing
all it will tell you is its been posted
so its not going to change anything
if you were so desperate then you should have used a time guaranteed service
  • I bought stuff from other online shops, they gave me a tracking number that I could use on the website and track the parcel, I'm sure it was with royal mail, I was expecting this to be a similar system.

I'm probably expecting too much, and a level of service that just isn't there. Hey ho, you live and learn.

Recorded is not a tracked service it is standard mail and as has been said above is not even considered lost or late until after 15 working days.

If you have bought expensive things in the past they may well have been sent by courier or by special delivery which is tracked online.

Again as said above recorded usually shows that it has been posted, and nothing else changes until it is delivered, and even then it rarely updates to show that.

If I had paid on Thursday, I would expect my stuff to be posted on Friday.

Regardless. If you can post on a Monday, possibly the busiest PO day, you can do it Friday or Saturday at the latest. How hard can it be?
