A sort of mediterranean chicken thing here tonight: chicken breasts with onion, garlic, peppers, mushrooms and courgettes all covered in passata with some thyme and plenty of black pepper. We had that with a small jacket and some green beans. Not bad.

Need to go and prep some potato vedgies so that can have a quick tea when back with DD

How did you do your wedges? I usually keep them skinned, rub some rock salt and pepper in and sprinkle a little bit of paprika on to give them colour.
I don't understand how anybody can eat chocolate for breakfast! _pale_
    you've never lived :D

Jo, I made the SRP on Sunday, just for me . Pretty good for a first attempt, tho' a bit dry and and the crackling was rubbery. Still ploughing through the leftovers. The cat now gallops through the house shouting ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham as soon as he hears me on my way in.

Wow, never made it just for me before  how big was the joint and how long did you cook it for? The Jamie recipe says half hour on high and 5.5 hours on gas mark 3 for a 1.5kg joint but I usually do the low bit on barely a gas mark 2. But as Lurky says, look at the crackling before you turn the heat down, it must be bubbling otherwise it'll just go chewy....it doesn't explain that properly on the recipe.

    Lol to your cat :rotfl:

    Morning all

Well I shall be finishing my ready salted pringles for breakfast, 2 fiendish fancies (you know it's near halloween when they are no longer your standard french fancies :rotfl:) for brunch and still deciding on what 'yes I can pay you for yesterdays and todays' bagel or baguette. Then it's LO spag bol for tea today :D

    Hope you're all well?

Had a really odd dream last night, that I was 9 months pregnant and went into the hospital for a check up and went into labour but couldn't find anyone to help me

    Have a good day xx

Jo, I put oil in a bowl then some salt and paprika. Throw the vedges (with skins on) in and mix so that they get properly coated. Put in the oven tray skin down. The temperature and time is up to you. I put them on 180 as I didn't want them to cook too fast as I nipped out to fetch DD.

    Birth
To dream of giving birth or see someone else giving birth, suggests that you are giving birth to a new idea or project. It also represents a new attitude, fresh beginnings or a major event. Alternatively, the dream may be calling attention to your inner child and the potential for you to grow. A more direct interpretation of this dream, may represent your desires/ anxieties of giving birth or the anticipation for such an event to occur.

The fact that there were nobody to help you indicates that you are alone tackling what ever it is that you are tackling.

Giving birth to a new Jo perhaps?

Dinner last night was lovely. Made far more amusing by DS who treted his fish as a science lesson. 'Look at his teeth' 'Oh look i've taken off his bottom jaw!'

Haven't a clue for tonight....might have to be beans on toast as I am skint!

    Have a good day all.

Just about the to raid the works canteen to see what delights they have to go with my tea this morning.

I haven't sorted anything out for tea tonight, DH and DS are home - they can deal with it again. Not in a cooking frame of mind at the moment.

Re. the birth dreams - I didn't realise the bit about not getting any help means you are tackling something alone. That makes sense. I used to think it meant they thought I was lying or something or not taking me seriously. Daft, I know, but I'm pleased with that explanation, thanks Marru :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

I used to get dreams where I was packing and I was missing my flight/bus/just name it because I had too much stuff to pack (= too much stuff holding me back). And the worst one was where I was surrounded by my family and relatives when I was packing (not just for a trip - I was packing my crockery and all) and trying to look after DD and none of them lifted a finger. (I live 3 hour flight away from my family and they don't know half of the stuff that is going on in my life)

    Breaking news: We have a school place :j :j :j :j :j :j

ETA: late lunch of hummus, brie and cucumber on seeded bread rolls - oh MAN!!!!! (I want another one...)
