After choklit breakfast (and my usual muesli) I had freshly made steak sandwich from local cafe. We get 20% discount so it wasn't as expensive as it sounds and boy was it yummy!!!
Need to go and prep some potato vedgies so that can have a quick tea when back with DD.
Oooh - can't wait for the next Apprentice. I think that xf is getting worse while Apprentice is getting better. Agree about the blond girl looking forward her being a PM."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I don't understand how anybody can eat chocolate for breakfast! _pale_
In today's Times "What I ate (and drank) yesterday" feature, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson opines: "I have a Lion Bar, or maybe three, every day for breakfast. I'll have a banana shake with it, made with two scoops of a weight-building powder that an athlete friend recommended to me, three bananas, three scoops of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and some raspberries. Sometimes I put the Lion bar in the shake."
I'm sorry, that's just disgusting (apart from the raspberries). I have a feeling I'll be on my own here on this one.
And for lunch: "Poached salmon, New potatoes, strawberries, Rose wine and three shots of tequila". (Perhaps I ought to post this on the other thread).
Jo, I made the SRP on Sunday, just for me . Pretty good for a first attempt, tho' a bit dry and and the crackling was rubbery. Still ploughing through the leftovers. The cat now gallops through the house shouting ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham-ham as soon as he hears me on my way in.

ah - this happened to me a few weeks ago - I was gutted.
Crackling - ensure your oven is as high as it'll go at the beginning. Don't cover until you see that it is bubbling
dry - ensure the foil is really tightly on, so that everything stays 'inside'

We've got some Mexican sausage and rice thingy with tea - not too sure what, OH has found a new receipe to try (I'm not moaning though, anything to keep me out of the kitchen
)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Chocolate for brekkie is easy - I think icecream would be pushing it a bit for me.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

Just had the slow roast pork - the crackling was perfect texture and crunchiness but too salty (easily remedied). Also the flesh was a little dry - I did tuck the foil right down and over the meat but not completely tightly wrapped (IYSWIM). And the veg under the joint just burnt so I couldn't make the sauce. In fact all the 'juices' burnt to the pan, and the bottom of the joint was a little too crunchy. So next time I'll perhaps do it at a lower temp? (I did 165 but in a fan oven):D,
my son has just said that i need to put in more smileys :T;):D:D:D:DTrying to keep in budget.

Oooh - I am a genius. Put some potato vedgies into the oven before going to pick DD up. When we came back they were cooked to perfection.
Nom nom...
Now last of that swiss roll for pudding"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Just bought 2 reduced to clear sea bream. Never cooked them before (not great with anything fishy to be truthful) off to search some recipes.

Well it looked good going in! Added some fresh chopped parsley and garlic. Veggy stock instead of the wine. Will let you know how it comes out.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
