    Good to 'see' you jo.

If you put him on the tenancy, move out etc is the plan that he'll find it so difficult to cope that he'll move out himself? I thought DD1 was worried she'd be put upon if you tried that arrangement? Good luck whatever you decide.

Glad to hear that SRP is still going strong. I'm trying to eat stuff from the freezer at the moment to create some space but it's time we had that again soon.

Pancakes were a great success tonight. It gets so much easier as the DDs get older and can make some of them themselves, without splattering them all over the floor. Needless to say, Mr SOS isn't capable, so I had to do his for him ....

Budgie - glad to hear things are OK between you and Mr B at the moment and I'm really, really pleased that he's working.

Jo - you sound very calm about it all - good luck x

Thanks Sos/Pricey I can't tell you what a relief it is to have Mr BB working again :)

I actually have some money to spend, but I still have my old style ways ;)

Made lunch today with my organic goodies, I had spring greens and mashed potato left so I made bubble and squeak for the freezer. I used one of those metal ringy things they have on come dine with me.

I was quite pleased when I purchased said rings, I rushed home and made dinner. The effect was lost on Mr BB though, as he walked into the kitchen and uttered the immortal words:

"What is that mashed potato in a block like that for"

You can imagine what Budgie thought at the time. :p

Hope things are going better with Mr Sos, sweetheart, big hugs and take care. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Budgie, nice to 'see' you. I am about but have loads going on in real life. Trying to keep life simple if I can not setting myself too many restrictions or targets - to be honest its all a bit of a grind ....

So pancakes here tonight. I really couldn't face it so the boys took over the kitchen, Mess everywhere!

I've a big birthday coming up at the weekend and everything seems to have got put on hold. Will be back soon properly with tales of my cheese and ham sarnies for lunch, I promise x

    Hope everyone is ok x

Jo, sending you as much virtual support as I can x

Happy birthday Pen and of course Maman :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake: a cake each for both of you and an extra one in case I have forgotten anyone :o (hope not). Have lovely celebrations and big birthday hugs ((())) xxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi budgster!

Study and work is soooooooooooo hard work! Submitted last assignment last monday and working a full week then coming down with cold and writing a 3000 word assignment and then straight back to work did not work out that great for me and left me feeling absolutely wiped out.

Had big plans for this weekend trips out etc but in the end decided to chill at home with catching up with flying and stuff and generally relax.

Well this worked as feeling the most chilled out tonight I have done in weeks with no study on my mind - back in a weeks time though

Right better dash as my nigella poached chicken is nearly done after making the choc chip cookies today which were also rather nice!

Hope you're ok too - you sound pretty chipper!

Well Sparkles my head is in a spin after reading all that. :) I feel drained for you matey.

Still it will all be worth it in the end, its just getting to the end that can sometimes be troublesome.

Enjoy your dinner it sounds lovely, well ok up North its tea. But my Ds keeps telling me off so now I have lunch and dinner. ;)

    Get me

Yes I am chipper thankyou, still overweight but I am concentrating on eating more healthier. I have gone all organic you know ;)

I do tend to have an idea which then can become an obsession :o

Mr Budgie just has to bear with me, its like the time I got in to feng shui. I won't go in to detail but it pained Mr Budgie so...............

Hey ho I am very loveable though :)

Talking of loveable, we haven't heard off Miss Honey B for what seems like an age? Hope she is ok?

Ok off to make a cuppa before Ant and Dec and Casualty.

I know how much excitement can a Budgie have in one evening?

Hugs (()) and well done on all your hard work :T

Thanks for your birthday wishes. Happy Birthday Pen! Mine's not a big one like you but we're both a year older:rotfl:

I'd like to get some of those ring things Budgie. I was only telling DD2 today that when we were in Edinburgh we had a really nice starter that was haggis, mash and swede stacked from one of those rings. Very professional, but obviously would be lost on MrBB.

Happy Birthday Maman, hope you had a good one.

DH organised a brilliant party for me last night and we've had a family meal today and one tomorrow - so its kind of celebrations all weekend (it feels good to do something nice like this).

So today I've had beef and stilton pie, new potatoes and peas (pub lunch) and take-away pizza for tea.

Jo, wish I could kick your OH up the b*tt for you, keep going hun x

Budgie, i'll be joining you in a minute watching casualty.

Have a lovely weekend all x
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Happy birthdays to Pen & Maman - hope you've both had marvellous days and are going to be spoilt all weekend!

Farmers market this morning - was determined to not spend *too* much and I feel we did quite well as for the sum of £16 I came away with a pack of beef skirt, a pack of stewing steak, a big pack of Lambs liver, a quarter-shoulder of mutton, a large lump of locally made chorizo, two small kabanos sausages and a salmon sausage which shall be teamed up with some pasta and soft cheese as a sauce for dinner on Monday night I think.

Todays meals have been deliciously frugal - lunch was Approved Food bulgar wheat with peppers, leek and mushrooms, with pitta bread, and tonight - toasted muffins with home made humous and Approved Food tortilla chips. Tasty, fairly healthy, and CHEAP!

    Morning all,

When you coming down to see me Budge?

    Hiya Sparkles

Pen & Maman, so sorry I missed the birthdays :( it's my 'nearly' 40th next month

OH bought DD2 speed stacking cups in Toysrus yesterday, think he might be regretting it right now cos he's still in bed and they are very noisy :rotfl:

Maman, I know that he is never gonna move out, unless I start getting eviction orders etc etc which would become very messy. I also do know that once faced with single fatherhood, he will have to make the effort, I think it will be good for him. DD1 is very likely to move out soon anyway, she wouldn't put up with it. We will just have to see how it goes :)

Let's hope it's all over soon jo, as I'm sure now all decisions made you'd like to get on with it. Sending you :grouphug: and positive vibes!

We're having lamb today. Although it's a leg joint I'm going to use my fave lamb shank recipe rather than just roast it. So that's diced/sliced leeks, carrots and parsnips in stock/worcestershire sauce/herbs with the lamb cooked on top. It's yummy and I always try to have some LO veg for a quick lunch another day.

Well done on bargain meat shopping EH. You're doing really well on the frugal cooking front.

Good to see sparkles and pen yesterday. :wave:to any other old friends lurking.

Beef roast dinner and chocolate fudge cake and icecream, very nice. With a couple glasses of white too (I'll be sleeping well tonight) :D

    Fingers crossed x
