i'd try and urge people to try and get a Hanns-G HW191D monitor from Dabs or somewhere for ~£125 as it is superb quality0

zaccy i would not be suprised if it was a HP or compaq rebadge. them monitors for a LCD have a shocking fail rate
normaly if the screen stays black but the power is on its the backlight thats gone. can normaly see a faint image in a dark room or if u shine a light onto it.
If there is no power at all its the PSU.
been using LCDs for going on 3-4 year now all of which are still working 100% without any blown pixels 24/7 use. MY CRT is about to be binned went realy dull cannot see the screen
normaly order from https://www.overclockers.co.uk never had any problems from them guys and the prices for everything is nice and cheap without having to dig around0 -
I've been looking at many 19" LCD monitors but very difficult to find a good all rounder.
From what I've read so far, just because the manufacturer states 8ms response time does NOT mean that this is consistant, so this figure can be very misleading. They can actually be as high as 20ms but can peak as low as 8ms every now and then, so in fact your worse off sometimes on a 8ms screen than a decent 12ms screen which has a good overdrive to consistantly produce this response time. The reviews I read on the Hanns was this has a poor consistant delivery of response times.... ghosting is a problem also, but depends what your using them for end of the day.
As for widescreen, as long as you get a good viewing angle (more = better) then you wont lose much when gaming or watching movies.
A good place to check out a detailed review - this one is an Acer for example is:- http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/aceral1916w/
This is on offer at Micro Direct: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=14818&GroupID=1172
Im still in limbo on which monitor to get, at the moment I cant find much on the Xerox but spec does look good..... again the question arises is are those figures quoted consistant or just what it CAN achieve every now and then?
Any other input from anyone would be great.0 -

But the specifications page describes the Digital input as optional.
http://www.xerox-displays.info/product_display_xm3.html#
And Microdirect say the Monitor has just one Analogue input.

Anyone know what is actually on the Xerox that is supplied?
Cheers
I just called Micro Direct with your query, they have confirmed that this monitor does NOT have the DVI input regardless of the pdf you have pointed out.... bit gutting personally as that would have sold it to me.
The monitor itself in terms of specification is fully loaded, its got an excellant widescreen resolution, offers a contrast of 800:1, min required for films is 500:1 so this monitor will breeze through this. Great colour ratio, and has up to 75hz frequency, great for gamers who suffer with colour lag and stuck with the standard 60hz, by upping to 75hz usually sorts all their problems out.... not to mention that this also has an awsome viewing angle... if only I could get this one with the DVI on it as well........:undecided0 -
How about this 19" > It has DVI and VGA @ £112.79 inc VAT?

Just watch if buying from Micro Direct, their prices might be good but their after sales service is appalling0
