Looking at this thread I've since found it appears people were being offered (and subsequently refused) this offer over a week ago. Bit shoddy of Empire really.

Well I'm eating my words about saying Empire were shoddy. Yesteray I had a phone call saying my order would be delivered today and sure enough I'm using my new philips 19" monitor now.

Zaccy and Scav I hope you managed to get hold of one as well as I think you may have ordered before me. So maybe Empire did have a few to shift.

Ordered one on Monday and it arrived today after several calls due to CityLink mucking up the delivery The display however is superb! Very bright even with my old VGA connected GeForce 4 and fast response time - was great for watching the football tonight. Not a single dead pixel as far as I can tell (and I have thoroughly tested) however there is a tiny 1cm or so scratch on the top edge of the display (I think it is on the actual screen surface and not deeper but I'm not sure) and is only really noticeable if something white is on the display so I am reluctant to return as it may mean I get one with dead pixels - HannsG apparently will swap out after 7 or more dead pixels only.
