Most defiantly. There's an over abundance of monitors out there at the moment the prices will go down so unless your desperate to change your monitor it might be a good idea to wait a little longer for some nice wide-screen ones as their on their way down too.0 -
I know I've already stated my views, but for £130 I would go for the Hanns-g found here: http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=446N&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=hannsg&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0
I ordered 2 from Dabs, both spot on and not a single dead pixel on either, so far the monitor has handled everything I've thrown at it, no ghosting, no colour distortion, truely an amazing monitor! Bite the bullet and get this, you wont be dissapointed!0 -

Ive ordered this one as Ive been in the market for a TFT for a little while and decide to take the plunge. Judging by the reviews here and elsewhere its a good price as well as monitor.

hi, i have one of these xerox monitors, got it yesterday from a friends work, they price matched the mcro company. lovely monitor nice and bright, but it looks like my graphics card wont support the resolution so everything is a little squashed, so as far as i know i need either a new graphics card or ill need to exchange it for a traditional screen, i use it for photography so no squashyness allowed, also it seems to flicker on the net i guess thats also to do with the res not matching, im no techno, but if you have the capabilities then its a lovely monitior.0

Had a look into the Xerox and was very tempted at one point until DAZED pointed out the Hanns-g, after comparing both monitors for a couple of weeks the Hanns-g came out way on top....
In terms of your res problem, my fathers pc is just the same, I fitted his new monitor the weekend and doesnt look anywhere near the quality of mine, and it is a graphics card problem. Suggest you look at something like the Radeon 9250 found here as an example if running an AGP board: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=8645&GroupID=1226 (my opinion go through ebay for about £15) this is a cheap card and will certainly do the trick!0 -
