  • DT,

For your jewllery boxes etc check out www.boxdisplays.co.uk I used to use them for mine... still have some in fact. When I was selling a couple of years ago they were good value and good products.

  • OK I have just lost a very long post so will try again.

Lovely sunny day here in Wales.

I am trying to maintain a positive attitude but it is a bit tricky at the moment as we are meeting our little girl's new parents tomorrow

So I am trying the distraction method. On the long drive to Congleton and back today I have been thinking about the charity I am a trustee of prompted by a post on Firewalker's thread (which I must reply to) and the fact that two of our sponsors, our building project manager and his wife are going out to Uganda on Wednesday.

On their return I will be producing a newsletter to send out to sponsors and donors and with the proximity to Christmas I shall be sending with it our Christmas Gift Appeal which we have run for the last two years. The items we are asking for this year are mosquito nets, medicine, books, food parcels, educational materials and laptops for university students. We are handing over our latest building project a primary school which has taken 7 years to fundraise for and build during this trip so no need to ask for bricks, cement etc this year

We keep our costs to a minimum so that over 98% of money donated goes to the people who need it the only costs being the unavoidable ones of bank transfer fees and auditor's fees (although our new auditor now sponsors a child and donates back more than we pay him :A)

The reason for this long story is that I am no cardmaker and for the last two years I have produced a card in publisher with images from the internet (this is where I tried to post images of them to give you an idea and failed and lost my post in the process:mad:) and wondered if any of you lovely people would be willing to suggest a new design for this year as I would like something that looks as professional as possible. It has to be low cost as I will be picking up the bill, easy to make as I will be making them :D and needs to fit in a C4 (I think that's right but I will check) envelope as I have a box of red unused ones from last year.

If anyone thinks they can help please pm me with your email address and I will send you a copy of the previous cards to see what I have done so far. I will be asking the matrix if I can work out how to link to this post but thought I would post the details here to avoid cluttering up Memory Girl's thread.

It would make one DT very happy and relieved if someone could help.:)

Thats a great idea, DT - I'm not a designer type person, but with all those artistic businesses on MG's thread, I'm sure somebody can turn their hand to designing something that fits your bill.

On your own news - this must be so painful, I hope you do find the cardmaking distracting.
