I didn't realise you were having symptoms like that, DT. For trauma, just as for grief - its exactly what Taxi says, there's no right way or wrong way, there's just your way. Hell for leather, or on hold for a year. Coming out the other side eventually is what matters - but *when* that "eventually" is, no-one else can tell you or dictate to you. Just support you :grouphug:

Only you can know much the events of the last year have affected you and your family. You've had to be strong for them, while dealing with it yourself, not to mention the bureaucracy etc.

Double Trouble - nothing by halves except the weight

Trauma and grief seem to have similar symptoms to me. Agree very much that you will get there when you get there, there is no rule book when it comes to dealing with this sort of things.

Oh DT I don't think you have to worry about being positive or negative on here
Just getting it down indicates you know that you need to do something
I'm not good at thinking up snappy titles but whatever you choose I will be there, not with anything of any use to say you understand, but just to
    wave and hug

Waves and hugs are much appreciated funnyflipp :j

Not decided on a title yet so will continue here for a bit get paid at the end of the month so 6 months budgeting coming up so that might be a good time to start a new one.

The negative I watched the Panorama programme last night finished at fifty nothing unexpected but a bit depressing and reinforced my view that if I am to get a job it is probably going to be through recommendation and networking rather than cold applications

The positive my little girl's adoptive mother does want to meet me for coffee so we are liaising a time I am so relieved that this request has had a positive outcome :D

That's good about the adoptive mother, they sounded like nice people, it was just the way SS dealt with the whole thing.
