I think they've moved the posts a bit and are generally going to pay it in on the 4th of each month.

I called them up last month regarding it and was told the bonus would go in on that date, perhaps they've set it as that now for some reason.
  • Got this response this morning via their online chat facility:

"Yes, we are aware that the bonus interest has been delayed. Rest assured we are currently looking in to this and will credit it to your account as soon as possible. I do apologise for the inconvenience this is causing. Rest assured you will not lose out on any interest, and it will be credited as soon as possible."

Hi everyone, thanks for your patience. We are hopeful that the missing interest payments will be with you on Friday. Thanks, MH
As one of the savers, Richard, also said there
Complete nonsense from Natwest once again. For the most recent e-Savings: - The opening documents state last working day of month (Monday) - Recent online banking message claimed first day of month (Tuesday) - It's now Wednesday and nothing yet!
That's about the extent of it
    I came, I saw, I melted

The bonus interest has finally appeared in my NatWest account but it is less than last month and I am not sure why. Last month I received £64.51 int, £124.57 bonus. This month it's £66.98 int, £117.38 bonus. There have been no withdrawals from the account during this time.

I would ask NatWest directly but I think there is more chance of getting the correct answer here :)

Yes it is a bit odd, based on the standard interest you received of £66.98, it would appear that your bonus should be £129.34. (based on last months ratio) However mine is in the same proportion as yours (being short also) so perhaps the bonus interest is computed over less days or something or last months was computed over a longer period than the STD interest?

Who knows? NatWest probably don't! Lol :)

The very same thing happened to me,the first amount larger, yet the second bonus amount smaller. To be honest i find the whole situation very wearing with NatWest.

The interest at the end of December should be greater than at the end of November. There is an extra day in December. Also the December balance will be greater that the November's unless November's interest was withdrawn. Perhaps the bonus is affected by the date it was actually paid? I'll try and work it out. My mother has one of these accounts. I agree all very confusing. Especially strange since my account with bonus until February 2013 has been paying both interest and bonus on the last day of the month without issue.

I didn't check my account yesterday, but my bonus payment is dated 3rd January. December's payment was also on the 3rd.
