CAUTION... Don't apply to open one of these until [STRIKE]THURSDAY[/STRIKE] WEDNESDAY 29th! September

Whilst you can have more than a single Natwest/RBS e-savings account, it remains to be seen if this offer is available with a second opened account. Going by the experience at Tesco banking (v similar setup) it's probably safe to assume it will be.
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
  • Is this account similar to the Tesco Internet Saver a/c? Can I make withdrawals via Faster Payment?

    Yes.......
  • We will see tomorrow of course, but it seems likely that the RBS account will actually be the one referred to here rather than "e-saver":

and thus that the 2.85% at RBS will only be available on balances over £50k, unlike the NatWest equivalent.
  • Hi,I have a current e-savings account opened with natwest for years and am getting really bad intrest. Can I apply for this new 2.85% deal? Thanks

Natwest haven't said at this stage but in the past they've allowed people with existing e-savers to open new ones to benefit from bonus offers.

Maybe they are hoping to mop up some of the money coming out of NS&I next month when their 1 year bonds mature. There should be a fair amont of cash looking for a home OCT/Nov - lets hope a few others jump on the bandwagon :)

I am aware that this si variable rate. But Is there any introductory bonus interest rate that the interest will drop significantly after 1 year.
we are not not considering moving my saving just for 0.05% difference.

Yep 1.85% bonus - I'll open one for the rate, but also cos it is one of the few savings account that has FP in and out and, and allows you to make payments directly from your savings account
