    Well, I was quite disappointed because I didn't get the account number and sort code but my partner did when she opened hers... I have to investigate on that tomorrow.

    It says in the FAQ
    "How long does it take to open an e-savings account?
    Are you an existing NatWest Online Banking customer? We’ll open your e-Savings account straightaway.
    " And when I completed the app it said "Your account is now open and ready for use." and gave the account details.

    But it isn't listed with my other accounts and when I checked it said: "Customer advice, please address the following issues:
    * Our records show that the payee account you have specified does not exist. Please enter a valid account number."


    I assume it'll be there in the next day or two and as I won't be putting much dosh there before the bonus kicks in I'm not too fussed.

    I was advised of the account number and sort code at the end of the registration procedure. I can't remember exactly what I read but it was something along the lines of it would take 48 hours before the account would active , so I don't expect anything to show up on the accounts summary before Friday.
    .................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    What are NatWest like with proof of ID, do they generally manage to do this electronically?

    Opened mine yesterday all I got was an application number and told to wait for the info pack 2/3 days sign it and send it back, all the info I need will be send back to me, I am an existing nat west customer.

    Although I like Nat West when I opened my first account it was a nightmare took over 9 weeks, lost details and all that.
