  • I've just rung Coventry Toys R Us to see if they'd had any Aliens in by some miracle and they've had 2 in on this morning's delivery, so they're holding one for me until the end of today :D

I am, literally, beside myself with joy :j

So, there should be 1 left there if anyone needs them :)

Worth calling your own local store if you're after them...... if 1 store gets them delivered it hopefully stands to reason that other stores will too.

<goes for a lie down after all the excitement>
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p

Proud to be BSC no. 103
  • I picked up Buzz Mr Potato head from Toys r us yesterday and it was half price at £4.99, looks great especially for this price.

    Is available online too

hi guys, what a mind blowing thread!! Can't concur on most of the toys - monster dolls look spooky and lalaloopsy looks butt ugly to me too. Eugh! Who invents these things?? thank goodness my girl is only 4 and thinks the disney shop is heaven.

I do like hexbugs though they loook cool.

Anyhow we are big on toy story - kids got DH Buzz; we got them woody, jesse, Bullseye, slinky, some soldiers, the dinasaur...hunting for ham on ebay (going for silly money).

Can't find a sensible sized potato head anywhere they are all enormous and not to scale (we are so fussy!!) I want one about 6-7" max. Would really like some monkeys too does anyone know where they are available apart from amazon where postage is £5-10?

Also are hexbugs only available online?

I totally forgot about Ham, what figures do they do of him, is the the plush toy ur after??

Well popped down to Smythstoys today to collect a Chatimal, and although it says in stock - it ain't. Flying off the shelves I believe.

None in my local Argos. Tesco or Toysrus either. Any ideas?

Did you take advantage of the on the shelf promise then?

For anyone reading this, you can check stock at your local Smyths online and if it says something is in stock, you can print out an on the shelf promise and if it isn't, they give you a £7 voucher - not bad me thinks.

I finding it really difficult to find a ben 10 jet ray figure that my son wants amazon have one but its 18.99 plus £4.83 postage and I'm sure its rrp is around £9.99.

Drove to toys r us and had no luck, I've been checking the toys in all the supermarkets and nothing.

Argos have the lego one reduced to £8.99, as are the rest of the ben 10 lego figures:

Sadly, for my store, on this product, the promise wasn't available. :(

    Thanks 5_princesses, I'll have a look.

  • Hi Guys and Gals, this is my first post as you can see and I run a toy info/price comparison site and just thought I would let you know what parents/customers are looking for and buying now. I have been in the toy business for 10 years and the online toy business for 6 years and so we have our finger firmly on the pulse.
The build up to Christmas is always a manic time and for parents it can be a nightmare trying to find that must-have toy in December. Anyway this is the list of the top 10 most-wanted/bought over the last 3 weeks hope it helps for you to plan ahead:
    1. Toy Story 3 Lotso Bear
    2. Real Construction Deluxe Workshop
    3. Matchbox Stinky the Garage Truck (SUPER HOT)
    4. Monster High Dolls (Majority of online retailers won't get stock until the end of the month)
    5. Vtech Mobigo
    6. Vtech Storio
    7. spynet video watch
    8. toffee the pony
    9. chatimals
    10. lego hogwarts castle
