    Must admit, I endorse the sentiments expressed by the OP in her more recent post: it does stick in the craw that law-makers supposedly drawn from the most virtuous in the land show themselves to be anything but (again, I'm not talking about Ashcroft's tax but Ashcroft's breach of the promises he made to land his peerage.) Not for the first time does it seem a thread has started with a header that an OP originally penned in frustration, but which doesn't accurately reflect the point which the OP intended to make.
