I'd certainly be sorely tempted. I dunno. But a lot of (''normal'' and ''rich'') people could avoid tax more than they do I think...why don't they? Lack of knowledge? Lack of worth in avoidance v paying for professional guidance to avoid? Civic duty? I think the difference in this individual case is there was an undertaking not to continue to legally avoid and that that, not the legal avoidance, is a significant part of the shadiness of this.
I don't think its a ''Conservative'' issue though, beyond the individual case: I believe what ever colour your ribbon is there is a temptation to hang on to as much of it as one can.0
