  • Went into The Works today and they have loads of Christmas bits and pieces out.
I bought my sister a pair of red washing up gloves trimmed with white fur for £1.00. She is going to get these with a pack of Christmas tea towels from Primark and a bottle of M&S Christmas fragrance washing up liquid as part of her pressie.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

That's a really good idea I may have to pinch it!
Nothing in it, nothing in it but a ribbon round it .....

That sounds a smashing idea- might treat myself to those gloves- were they sale or normal priced xmas stock
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???
  • The gloves are new normal priced stock.

This is my first Xmas living with my partner and my Mum prob wont be doing me a stocking this year FOR THE FIRST TIME EVEEEEEER! *sob* they are the best bit. Every year without fail I'd get a tangerine and a tube of fruit pastels along with some nice 'girly' bits and bobs, hair bobbles, those socks that are like gloves for your feet, some nice bubble bath or similar along with some Hawkins Bazaar type things - heaven!

Same sort of thing from my mum :D I have been married for 15 yrs now, with children of my own, but she still does it, only it comes as part of the pressies she gives me when we visit over christmas :T Still gives that warm fuzzy feeling though :A

My brother gave me a similar pressie one year...only it was the same style rubber gloves and two aprons :D

Just been to Tescos and they have girly items there going for £1.50 AND they are on the 3 for 1 offer. Great for stocking fillers or birthday party bags. I've just bought loads :j :j

50ml bottles of shower gel, bath bubbles or lotion with hairband included.
Pink make-up brush set and flower shaped hinged hand mirror.
Set of 3 small nail varnish bottles each a diff colour.
Set of 2 glitter lip gloss tubes pale & dark pink.
Set of 2 eye shadow palettes, 3 diff colour in each palette & both sets diff colours.
Pale blue toenail painting set inc metal file, toe spreaders, cuticle tool, metal nail clipper & a foot shaped something (?).

The sets can easily be broken up into singles so for example I bought 3 nail varnish sets, one is free according to 3 for 2 offer and if you split them up you get 9 small pots for £3 :T :T This works for the lip gloss, 6 for £3, and the eye shadow, 6 for £3 as well :rotfl:

I have put this on the Great Stocking Filler Thread as well as that's a similar thread :rotfl:

Try some finger puppets from over the moon:www.overthemoontoys.co.uk New stuff is being added all the time.

Some nice other ideas for prezzies there too - and a Nativity book too!

They're great quality puppets: I got some for my LO last year.

Yes, it's my new business - before you ask! Hope you like!
