I will join you too but my first job is to finish my brew!
What does HHC stand for?
Means half hour challenge! Check out first posting on thread. These are what i tend to do throughout the day!
In mine today which went on for longer i picked up and put away all bits in living room into their rightful places! S&S of bathroom and kitchen. Put washing on line and more in WM. Then sorted through some DVD's that my kids have totally wrecked so they've gone in the bin. Bit annoying but beyond repair. Going to move them out of reach as fed up of little hands!! This will happen when i finally sort out computer room which i will do after lunch! Also gone through all magazines i've got and ripped out things of interest which will file when doing said cupboard! If music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. For a better secure life. x0 -

Been dot-to-dotting and now need to completely tidy downstairs in time for my company this afternoon :j
Yep - got it! I have figured out the HH bit but wasn't sure of the 'c'
Well I've done 3 of them so far! Well 6 mins to go on the third, now what can I do in 6 minutes?0 -
Morning all (just),
I have been up for a little while, but only just got online. I'm off work today as I thought I could do with a day off, as tomorrow, I start working at the private school! Unfortunately for me, the lady who I'll be covering, is getting better quicker than they thought she would (although the hospital still don't know what is wrong with her), so I may only be working there for a couple of weeks, as they have a 2 week long half term (giving her a month to recover). The head has said he'll let me know during half term if I'm needed after that, as it's a case of wait and see to find out when she'll be well enough to come back to work. I will be teaching a class of 15 Year 6 girls, and will also be teaching a lot of the PE. I won't be teaching music, ICT or French, as they have specialist teachers to teach those subjects. I'm going in tomorrow to meet the girls and to meet the other members of staff, and then will hit the ground running on Monday. I'm quite nervous about it all, as I've no idea what their curriculum is like, or how they plan etc. I'll be working on timesheets (the same rate of pay I'd get for any normal supply), but at least I'm guaranteed work for the next 2 weeks, and it'll make my CV more exciting too. Fingers crossed that if they like me they may ask me back to cover other supply work.
Lovely to see the pictures of baby Leo rach - thank you for posting them for those of us who aren't on Facebook. He's gorgeous. My friend had her little girl on the same day as you, and hopefully I'll be meeting her on Saturday (provided I've managed to get rid of my cold by then). They called her Piper Lily Aerianne, and she wasn't so little at 8lb 11oz. She had SPD too, and diabetes, so I'm yet to find out if she was born via the sunroof too.
Hugs to Juliejim and your DS - I sympathise with your son - I've got a huge phobia of needles, and the numbing cream never works on me.
Hugs to Mumto5 and your DD. I shan't mention to Moon that you're seeing Kylie on our wedding day, or he may not turn up - he is a huge fan of hers. lol
Well I need to get flitting in the kitchen as I plan to make a carrot cake today if I have time - am meant to be meeting a friend in town in a couple of hours to go to the house of fraser sale. Maybe I should make it when I come home, as it takes an hour to cook - think I've convinced myself that this is the better plan. Don't know where the time has gone to this morning.
Anyone for a HHC 12-12.30?
Hugs and spoons where appropriate.
sexymouse xx

I'm going to do 1 more HHC at 12.05 and then i'm going to stop for lunch.0 -
Kitchen very nearly done. One more HHC should see that finished and then a quick trot though the rest of the downstairs. Trying to finsh for 1.30 so I can play in the garden.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Msgnomey - hope you're ok, sending lots of hugs xx
Cyclingyorkie - sounds like you're going to be busy! Hope you fill the vacancies quickly xx
Juliejim - hope your hamster is settling in well (and lives a bit longer than the last!!) xx
I've spend all morning doing the monthly tesco shop online and vacuuming everywhere to get rid of hair from dogs - think new coats are coming through! It's taken ages! Maybe I shouldn't have dogs as I have a bit of a 'thing' about dog hair, lol.
Going to work now. I've put too much harissa paste in my cous cous - need to have a drink first!
Speak later xx0 -
Back again a little late - but the good news is that Sainsbury's rang up to ask if they could deliver my o/line shopping in an earlier slot, so it arrived at 11:45 and is now all put away!
Phew!
I managed to get the cake in the oven before they arrived. Hex I'm using this recipe - http://www.waitrose.com/recipe/Organic_Apple_Cake_with_Honey_and_Cinnamon_Creme_Fraiche.aspx
(but not faffing too much over what kind of eggs I use etc! Columbian Blacktail indeed!). I've done it once before and it was fantastic - but watch out that you cook it long enough (first one was a bit damp in the centre).
Onion soup is still to complete - though some of the ingredients were on the van, so I'm happy they are here before I really got going.
I've hung the quilt up, too: lovely and sunny at the moment.
Must finish the soup - we're having some of it for lunch. Then need to restore the kitchen to shinyness!
Back later - well done to all the people who have joined today and have done so brilliantly!
