  • Yay I've done it! LR tidy and clean, several spiders homes demolished, everything in it's place and it even smells nice :) Took me half an hour and several rude words to get the sofa cover back on - if anyone so much as farts on it for the next 6 months they're in trouble! Just got a pile of washing to put away in a bit, and dinner to make, then I'm done for the day :)

    e bay parecl posted. I had charged enough P&P to cover parcels (plus a bit for packing as I am generous with the bubblewrap even though I recycle it;)) and got to the PO to be told it could go as a 2nd class letter for just under £2.00...which means I have charged double what I should have for P&P so have e mailed buyer offering a £2.00 refund. Anything to avoid a slating in the feedback dept.

    Have been to Riverside Garden Centre for lunch...somewhere near Hathersage (I think) and then for a stroll around Longshaw Estate with my former colleague. She treated me to lunch for my birthday. They have a HUGE bird table outside the cafe window, by the river (goodness knows what river, I don't!) and I saw a robin, chaffinches, great tits, blue tits and a little mysterious red bird...they thoughtfully provide bird guides so i squinted my way through to identify a nuthatch...never seen one of those before (and feel quite Natty-like telling you all this)

    While at the PO I picked up my road fund licence,

    Miss H - the cake recipe looks lovely - but I dread to imagine the cost if you followed the specified ingredients. I will have a go with my Maran eggs, and value yoghurt....

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I know - it *really* kills me the way Waitrose over-specify perfectly ordinary ingredients like this. Mine was made with McDougalls SR flour, Sainsbury's basics butter and Woodland eggs from a big pack of 12!

    Oh - and apples from the garden, of course. But it only uses 2-3 of them, depending on size....

    <sigh> we have 18 apple trees and there are only three of us....
