    Hi Sazzy!

How did you get on? [ETA: Our postings crossed: GO YOU!!!!!! Fantastic!!! :T]

Hex2 is dead right: first thing is just to clear a little space in one room somewhere. Put big things away, fill a neat cardboard box with the small difficult stuff or fill a binbag (for charity or to chuck out). Collect all the clothes that need washing, maybe.

Then if you've managed to clear a table or a chair, dust it if you fancy doing it, make a cuppa, admire what you have done, and plan to do another little area (preferably one which joins onto it) after you've taken a break. Small half-hour bursts are best when you feel overwhelmed. And put the radio on if you think that will get you happy and moving.

    In my rather-more-than-HHBlitz I've

    - Cleared away the stuff drying on the stove top
    - Emptied the compost bin
    - Put the quilt on to wash
    - Put loo cleaner down the loo
    - Scrubbed the baking potatoes and put them in the oven
    - Made stew and put it in too
    - Found my apple-cake recipe and picked some apples to make it with
    - Sorted DH's computer problems....

Cuppa now - then back to make onion soup and apple cake.

Helly - its lovely having that cuddle isn't it. We used to do it Sunday Mornings when the girls were smaller, all 4 of us in the bed chatting and cuddling - usually it ended in a tickle fight in which I would get bruised and battered as their Dad tickled them till the pleaded his to stop lol. Savour it - it doesn't last forever :(

I know, he's three on Sunday so I know my days where he gives cuddles willingly are numbered...

Feeding the baby then will get going-need to do bottles, get washing on line, stick last night's chicken bones in the slow cooker for stock and then start on the LR. Will see how much I get done before 1 and report back...
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • Just like to than Sazzy and MissH-i've never posted on the flying thread but just managed to get so much done in half an hour thanks to your inspiration. Emptied wm and put into td. Sorted another load and got in wm. Washed up and then cleaned the walls, tiles and work surface, canisters, mugs, kettle etc in a corner that mustn't have been done for (dare I saw it!!) well over a year!!
Will do another 30 mins later has have a hospital appointment to set off for in a few mins-just enough time to clean cats tray and empty the bin before I go.

HHC overran but the kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned and tea-stained worktops bleached.

Now off to mop bathroom; just going to pull e bayer's address off then I can do the parcel.

  • CurlyTop - welcome, and well done to you, too!

I've missed the HHC starting at 10:45am, but am about to start again with a mixture of cooking and cleaning until about 12:00. If you see me dashing around, do join me!

  • sun just peeking through - I'll get some washing out and then it's off to work.

Since we came back at the beginning of September I've had 2 members of the dinner staff leave - well today that total reaches 3 - and the lady concerned didn't tell me or the boss - she only told the secretary!:mad:

I'm not bothered she's leaving - her hearts not in it and she's been signing in on time..but taking 10 minutes to get up 1 flight of stairs! Yesterday she signed in 15 minutes early and then calmly announced that she was leaving 15 minutes early!!!:mad::mad:

We can accommodate early finishes if it's urgent....but we could do with more notice than an hour!

Tomorrow there will only be 2 of us to feed the hot dinners.....

Livingroom looking rather good, Rhys now having a feed and he'll be off for a snooze. Hubby just up but i think it will a slow day for him.

Cuppa then off to do the bathroom.

Hex mines the same, never nothing in the basket just around it.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
