  • i have enough washing to fill a laundry!

A break in the rain means I'm going to get as much done as I can - the weather forecast is for more rain tomorrow!

Now all I need is for the mist to disappear!

Morning everyone - glorious sunshine here.

I am stuck in all day waiting for the car and laptop to be collected by my DHs former employers. They may or may not turn up which is infuriating.....

On the positive side I have the house to myself all day for the first time in a long time, and being forced to stay in means I can get on. Cue lots of HHCs, then if I get enough done this morning I can spend the afternoon doing HHGs in the overgrown front garden :D.

  • Didn't get any of today's or yesterday's list done in my HHC but did manage to feed most of chickens, just got a couple more pens to do and also sorted out the rails for my wardrobe so I can finally hang some of my clothes up. The wardrobes were put up about 9 months ago but I never put the rails in, so I haven't managed to hang any clothes up, they are all spilling out of drawers and shelves at the moment.

Will try for another HHC at 9:45 if anyone wants to join in. I will finish feeding chickens,t hen get changed out of wet and muddy clothes, then start sorting out my wardrobe I think.

Make the most of the weather Hex - it could be the last nice day for a while. I'm planning on being outside by 11 so just time for my dailies and the deep cleaning of the penultimate window frame.

off to get what I need to done asap. Builder coming to fix a plumber problem he created later so I want to be outside whilst that is going on.

Oh God my house is a tip! I really don't know where to start. Sat here in a minor panic
  • Morning everyone!

So far this morning I have taken dd to school in the big bad city, fought with huge queues (roadworks everywhere you turn) and returned home to find 11 e-mails all needing to be decluttered.

So that's my lot so far - and I feel shattered!

Heavy day in the kitchen today: lots of harvesting to process, plus people coming to eat with us tomorrow. Will start off by washing a quilt, though, because there's a small chance of it getting dry, and cleaning the remaining loo still outstanding this week.

Then a kitchen blitz on the cooking (kitchen still looks sparkly from yesterday, but this will no doubt change....)

HH-mad-dash, anyone? I'm starting now - aim to have a cuppa at 10:30.

Sazzy, first of all calm down. Get yourself a bin bag and choose an area. Move big things first that will make a visual difference, pile/bag up little stuff for sorting later. Do it for half an hour and see what you can get done. Miss Higgerty and I will join you and see how much I can get done here- report back here at 10.30 and tell me what you got done and I will do the same.

Dusty - I know, and days off are very rare for me at the moment! I need to trim the wisteria, but I want to wait until it has dried out a bit.

Right - got the bin bag. I am just hoping I can make a dint in it. My bf will be bloody amazed if I can.

Livingroom now cleared of clothes, pj's, toys, rubbish and wellies. Why is it so hard to put them in the basket as the front door. ????

All rubbish cleared out off the kitchen, bin needs emptied again. WM on and DW been emptied and slowly being refilled. :D

Think i'll get the dusting done in the livingroom next, then hoover and get the fire ready for later.

Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
