Hello all, hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Looks like a fair few people are still not having a good time, be sure to look after yourselves!
Well I've had quite a nice weekend after all. Ended up thinking that since I didn't have much on it would be nice to get back into reading again, as I really enjoy it and used to read books all the time, before the internet sort of took over so that now I don't read nearly as much anymore. So yesterday I went to the library and took some books out, also popped in to get my shopping. Came home, put the shopping away, stuck a wash on that needed done and settled down with a cuppa, the pile of books and my headphones in. Read two of them yesterday.
Today, I slept in (too long!), hoovered and then went back to it, now I am halfway through the second one of today. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's doubtful when I'll do that for a whole weekend again, but I'd like to fit in more book-reading in future.

OH was to say the least not looking too clever, he had asked to be laid on the floor but the chaps would not lie him down. We got him on the floor as the ambulance pulled in, I was very annoyed when they cut straight through his support stockings to put ECG leads on, I knew he was having one of his usual attacks, but of course what I had to say was disregarded and they carted him off to hospital. Some idiot had given him co-codomol which he should not take, he has had stomach ulcers and its one of the drugs that is a no no. I drove back home to make sure K was ok, collected some stuff and went hot foot to the hospital. It was 9.30 before he was seen having arrived at 6.30pm and they decided to admit him, by this time he was sitting up and asking to come home, however he stayed and I drove home.We sat talking till idnight.
Csarina - I know that your OH and I shared the same consultant when you lived in the Midlands. Your "OH turns" and mine sound exactly the same and frighten the living daylights out of those not used to them. My kids dad has a similar attitude to you which is very reassuring to me but is often ignored by strangers and makes you feel very disempowered and frustrated.I understand how stressful it can be for you during these turns. My kids dad took his blood pressure after he had taken mine (in my boots) and his was as high as mine my low! I took it for him after a log day at work including two 80 minute commutes at rush hour and it was totally normal. I appreciate how worried you must be leaving him. Have you thought about an alarm system so he can press it if caught unawares? I carry my mobile with me if left so I can get hold of someone. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
