Just coming back to report a £20 spend and update the signature amounts. Had to pop into the supermarket yesterday for some bread (got 4 loaves Hovis white for a £1 as they were on the reduced shelf so they are in the freezer), fruit for lunchboxes and snacks, vegetables, squash, shower gel and toothpaste - only bought things we were running out of!
Good news is that I was sent a Sainsbugs online grocery voucher for £10 off a £50 shop if I have it delivered before the end of the month, so I will be taking advantage of that before we go on holiday - the £10 off more than covers the delivery charge so there will be some savings there. They will do anything to get you back if you don't have a delivery for several months!!
    December GC: £350
  • Updating spends, this week came in at £65.75 making a total of £139.37 so far will not need to shop rest of week.Brought a real nice looking cauliflower and savoy cabbage at 39p in ald's witch I will cut today and freeze into portions.
    Save £4500 in 2014
  • Morning everyone - updated my total with spends over the last couple of days.

Been up since before 7am this morning as OH wanted to watch Grand Prix so I've been in kitchen, made Choc brownies and peanut butter cookies for this weeks lunchboxes.

Sun is trying to come out here, was a really nice day here Friday so spent half the day at the Allotment and the other half of the day tidying the Garden - was a very fruitful day, now have 2 pumpkins, 7 squashes, a few more Courgettes, another bowl of tomatoes ripening on the windowsill, 3 large beetroot (they are finished now), some carrots for today's dinner and some more Bramley apples.

Still got plenty of carrots left, tomatoes, spring onions in the Garden and plenty of cabbages, cauli's etc to look forward to up at the Allotment.:D

Dinner today is Roast beef and all the trimmings and after all this talk of Eve's pudding that's definitely going to be on the Menu later.;)

    Have a good day everyone.:D

Well i ahve had a bit of a hic-cup, went to Perth yesterday to do some shopping and went to M and S for a treat, however that treat cost £31 that shouldnt have been spent. Included in that was reduced loo-roll (fancy floral printed stuff as we were getting visitors ????LOL), sandwich, minicake tubs, flowers £10!!!!!, juice and acouple of bags of sweets and I dont know what else. Decided to buy myself a bunch of flowers - but could kick myself now - they are lovely but I must have taken leave of my senses to pay that. Ten pound could have got all the odds and ends I need for the rest of the week, to compensate i wont buy a Sunday paper today, and cut back on anything else. Havent had a tesco shop for over ten days so really pleased in one way. Have a good day,
    Every days a School day!
  • Just updated my signature for this week. Went to Mr T's on Friday and spent £45.42 which brings my total to £157.95. I don't need to shop for at least 10 days now unless I have unexpected guests, which is what usually happens. I think I can survive until the 24th on what's left in the budget :T
    Total debt at LBM £26k+
    Total debt now £16,494.40
    Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £0

I now have £22.50 left to last until the 26th which is never going to happen. I blame the DH who wanted a McD for lunch yesterday after a stressful morning looking after his baby sonwhile I had my hair done even though there was a house bursting with food. Where is that rolly eyed smilie when I need it. Then he wanted chilli and cheese tortillas in front of the X Fact0r. I had bought totrillas to do this for a tea the week after next with HM chilli. If he had let me know earlier I could have defrosted some

I also had to buy dog food, cheese (when I went to Mr S on Friday they only had one bag left of the BOGOF cheese), ladies things and bicarb to use as a deoderiser.

I was hoping not to enter a shop this week and just visit the farmers market on saturday but DH has demolished a litre of milk this morning on the cornflakes I bought to practice making the cakes for DS christening.

I might cancel the veg box for this week which will save £18.55 but will have to go get more milk/eggs as I usually get this with the veg box as it is the only place I can get 2 litre cartons of skimmed organic milk. DH works next to a Tesc0 Extra so I think I might send him there next week to keep me out of the shops.

I hope you enjoy the Eve's Pudding. I make a chocolate version too with pears instead of apples and a chocolate victoria sponge mixture for a change.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Didn't make it to town on thursday and after dr apptmnt on friday just didn't feel like shopping so stayed in and did a few bits at home. Saturday did go town left it til late so wouldn't have a lot of time still managed to spend £31.81p double what i'd planned on spending but dates were good so it made sence i also spent £21.36 on non food items including 2 xmas pressies

IF ANYONE WANTS ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS mrA HAS THEM FOR 10P EACH BAYONET TYPE AND SMALL SCREWTHREAD AT 40P EACH MUCH BETTER THAN THE £3 I PAID LAST XMAS ALSO A 3 PACK mr m**scle at £1 instead of £3 hope that helps some of you with an eye for a bargain

Back to g/c in total so far i've spent £50.90p and considering it's 10/10/10 today that's pretty good for me out of £120. if i split it in 2 it means if i'm careful and don't go crazy i might just make it this month as £9.10 for 4 days is more than doable i'm really pleased with that as up to now i've only managed to reduce spend if i can come in on budget or lower that will be so good if i hadn't found this site i don't think i'd be anywhere near getting my over spend down so quickly thank to all those little tips here and there

They're 3 for 30p at Mr S too, screw and bayonet. OH bought screw but we needed bayonet, when we went to swap them they didn't scan back on offer so we got free bulbs and 27p :j

I'm feeling inspired to get through lots of my dry and frozen food this week and only buy fresh fruit/veg. I have enough frozen beef mince for 10+ meals!
