Well I can't do a for weekly shop as we just have no storeage space, I usually take £50 a week out of the tax crdits for shopping, so far this week I've spent £25, yesterday made some sausage rolls and raspberry buns, hubby had stew made from sundays leftovers, tonight we had jackets with cheese beans and bacon, the bacon was on offer last week 50p a pack from £2.39. so bought 2. I have bought dark brown sugar, cocoa powder, cooking chocolate, treacle and a bread mix today, quite fancy doing some baking, first thing will be a parkin, and some treacle toffee.
really getting into this now, thanks0 -
The curry i made today was actually a thick leftover lentil and veg soup i made last week...last night i spotted it in the freezer and thought 'oooh, what can i do with that?' ...defrosted it, mixed in some curry paste and served it with rice!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

L!dl turned out to be a big disappointment - my local branch must not have heard about the special offers they're supposed to be runningOh well, milk's still reasonable in there, and I got a couple of other bits cheaper than if I'd waited for the big Mr T shop, so not all bad.

I am going to give this a try. Can I please ask, if you cooked it in your breadmaker, which programme you put it on? I have so many different ones!
I am also hoping that being like hovis and not fully wholemeal means that my little ones will acutally eat it and I dont have to buy anymore shop bread!
I have made loads of meals from scratch these past 2 weeks and am very pleased with myself indeed (and no-one has turned their nose up - yet).
