I don't know if this would work on silk, but on anything non-porous a little dab of handcream rubbed onto the glue loosens it and it will rub off, it might make a greasy mark on fabric though so try it on a spare piece of material first.0

Thanks hardpressed, I've googled this question and most of the answers seem to involve oil or grease to loosen the glue, but this would mark the silk - I think he will have to make do with the glue!!0

I would use oil of Eucalyptus avaialble in chemists which has the added advantage of not marking the fabric further. Available in chemists in very small bottles- you`ll recognize the smell!0

If it's still wet, water should remove it. If it's dried you may have had it, sorry.

Hi
Soak the clothes in warm water; and as it softens you'll have to scrape it off - it goes clear when dry and white when wet again; so try when it has gone white again. It may need a few hours and I would probably leave it overnight just to make sure it has absorbed as much water as possible.0 -
Hi
Thanks for link.
WD40 was kind in the back of my mind. Might try that as it is a good all rounder. Just don't like the smell but a couple of washes will ged rid. Don't know where it is as the moment due to kitchen/hall cupboard refurb but will probably surface as I can now put stuff back in cupboards!

Anyone know how to get glue from school clothes???
Tried brown paper and ironing it just goes shinny and sticky. You don't see the glue until washed after school then it's gone all white.BSC No: 186 There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Unless someone's nicked the candle !

Hello,
Does anyone know how to remove PVA glue from school uniform?
My daughter got it all over her skirt and I've no idea how to get it off.
The skirt went through a wash without me realising it was there and it looks pretty ingrained now. Can anyone help?
Thanks
