  • I'm the idiot that the Christmas pudding needs rescuing from! This year I am making a pudding for stir up Sunday, with the grand skids. They are aged two and four, and frankly, our previous attempts at baking have not ended well.

If anyone has a very easy recipe, it would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot

It's a two pints, we add a dash of Whisky to ours, and soak the fruit in Whisky. This year we did butter and suet. Tried and tested over forty years since my nana.

Flame on Xm4$$ day around 6pm. Serve with home maid Whisky sauce.

  • Thanks a lot, I'll take a look at Delia. I've also taken the precaution of recruiting my mum for pudding making duty, so it shouldn't be a disaster!

Oh, should say, she asks for barley wine, rum and stout. I use brandy (instead of rum) and Guinness for barley wine and stout (add together volumes..) mr owl's family used to but Xmas pud until I took one up one year. Now I have to post them!!
