I can't find the recipe online, its one of those extras from "mums know best" series 1, its not in a book.0 -
We hate Xmas pud and never eat it, but this Xmas we have two lovely new sons in law and they both love it so this year I have to do one. Does any Remoska user think I could do all that tedious reboiling in the Remoska, filled with water and bubbling away quietly in a corner and not taking up hob space ?0

If it's already been cooked once, or is a commercial one, just heat it up in the microwave. Takes literally seconds.Val.0

I second that - in the micro works brilliantly, saves fuel and a lot of faff!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Thanks for that, kind friends, I never thought of that - much easier. How long do I do it for ? It has been made by the Mum of one of the s-i-ls and I don't know how big it is, just that he'll be presenting me with it with a big hopeful cheesy grin on Christmas eve - bless !0

My tip is to use the slow cooker. After breakfast I put the pud in the slow cooker and pour boiling water in. It just sits there until needed.
Glad to hear from a fellow Remoska user (although I think it wouldn't work for the pud) I love mine!0 -
It will depend a bit on how big the pudding is/what the container is/what power you micro is. It does not take very long at all, I would do a small 1lb pud for no more that 1.5 min - there is a lot of sugar in the pudding (fruit) and that can get very hot very quickly. You can tell when it is done, it smells lovely. I would perhaps use a metal skewer to test the temp every minute after 2 mins - if the pud is hot through the skewer will be hot to touch on your lips.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Definately do it in the microwave. When you get it weigh it and Tesco do reheating instructions on their website for different weights of puddings.0
