    SSG hope you are ok

    Jo where are you?

Reporting another alcohol filled evening I am afraid, spoke to two people yesterday, one at a substance advice line who passed me onto lifeline who said I needed to go in for an assessment and their opening hours are 9-5 weekdays apart from Tuesday when they open till 7pm so that is the only day i could go as i don't have anyone to watch my DS during the day. Then I rang AA and spoke to a man whose only advice was to go to a meeting which I don't feel ready to do so guess what I had a drink instead :o I think I am going to try and go to lifeline on Tuesday eve but will depend on what time my DH gets home from work.

It is my wedding anniversary today - 4 years - spending it on my own as DH has to work but we are planning a nice dinner tonight - with or without wine? we will have to see :o

Hope everyone is ok today xxx
  • It is my wedding anniversary today

Happy anniversary!!! :j:j Hope you have a lovely dinner tonight!

    Hugs to SSG.

365 hope things with DS have calmed down a bit now.

Shaggy please put me down for 2 AF. I know I won't reach my 20, but I'm determined to get on of these :D for 7 days before I go on holiday.

Pen please can I do your challenge tonight. I don't think I'll have time to drink anyway as I'm off to yet another sixth form open evening with DD2. Final one to visit on Saturday morning and then comes the fun of trying to agree on which one she wants to go to. I foresee a stormy weekend ahead

Hope all your Thursdays go well.
  • Shopoholic For what its worth, I think you have opted for the best strategy. I was taken to an AA meeting once when I was totally pee'd. What a disaster that was. To get benefit I think you need to be sober(ish) first.

    Happy anniversary.:j

I think to get the benefit of any treatment one needs to be not drunk when having that treatment. However, drunk people do turn up from time to time and then a few weeks later they are sober.
  • Today I managed to go to the supermarket dinner time and come back out with only the bottle of milk I went in to buy. Result.

Therefore, being kind to me, my body and my wallet, I am going to be AF today (despite some wobbles about it first thing this morning).

Have a lovely afternoon everyone :)

I don't have these anymore as my wife divorced me because I was an alcoholic.
