    9 AF please Shaggy

Really fancied a wine last night so i did, stopped after one glass and was in bed by 10pm, very rock nd roll! Snow here today and its absolutely freezing, so much for our plans to get stuck into the garden now that all the decorating has been done inside. Went to Zumba at 9am, we had plans to go out and about this afternoon but its so cold think we might just stop in, i will catch up on the Corrie ominbus
    Have a good weekend everyone

Thanks for good wishes. DH and I have been out for him to buy me some Trollbeads for my present. I think he had a bit of a shock at the price of them:eek::D

Just listening to my team on the radio, then family round for cake and champagne. Not sure what we're doing later but I won't be cooking whatever happens!

Definitely won't be AF today but will be sensible.;)

    Sounds a good day maman!:T

Just googled trollbeads and was a bit spooky as was looking at something similar in Goldsmiths today. Mum had loads of tesco vouchers to spend in there and I was looking for a bracelet (yes, I'm spoilt). Ended up with a silver one but loved the look of murano glass bead bracelets!

    Happy Birthday maman!

I had some red wine last night. Got a sore throat and the shivers today, feeling very rundown.
  • Happy birthday, Maman (or should I say bonne anniversaire?). And happy birthday to Daisychain for tomorrow, too. :j

9 AFDs for me please, Shaggy.

I've been very boring today, catching up with work - this freelancing is OK, but when there's work, I just have to get it done.

Going to the theatre tonight with DH and DD2, so should be pleasant. However, I intend to have some wine in the bar too :T

Had a very boozy meal last night with my brother and his girlfriend and today i feel horrendous hungover and guilty. dh said i talked over everyone and i'm really worried what my brother's girlfriend thinks of me. have decided today to give up alcohol as i feel it is not enhancing my life in anyway-i didn't take my kids out today because i was too hungover which is awful. i dont want my kids to have a drunk for a mum and i feel that my drinking is starting to get out of control-i've known it for a long time but was trying to ignore it. Have sent dh out for lemonade and will start from today and will look to you lovely people for help!

Hello all, yesterday was the first alcohol free day I have had in a long time. The night before I consumed a copious amount of vodka, the saturday hangover was horrendous and one day at a time I shall give up alcohol.
I lay in bed for most of the day on saturday, my eldest got up and sorted himself out, but the youngest wanted help with homework etc and I was in no real fit state to do it. Apart from big family celebrations my children have never seen me drunk/hungover. I didnt relish the feelings of shame.
This seems like a supportive group which is useful on the journey to breaking negative behaviours.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
