Hello all, back from Paris late yesterday. I've been doing a bit of a catch up.

Good to hear that your sister is OK mackeroo, very worrying time for you.
Your story struck a few chords,Phoenix Dragon, it makes me feel a bit of a lightweight but the money and the calories have always motivated me more than the health effects of alcohol:o I suppose it's my desire for instant gratification.
Life's still a bit up and down for you MissP, what with funeral and car and everything. Glad you're picking up.
Being on meds is always a surefire way of being AF Marru, do call in regularly to gloat!!:)
Good to see you around again Budgie. I did 'see' your fellow Stokie on the SW thread. I think contentment over her new grandson has settled on her waistline and she's determined to do something about it.
I was moderate in Paris, just had a sensible and civilised shared bottle with dinner each evening and that was it. No drinking in my hotel room and soft drinks with lunch. Isn't that what normal people do on holiday???0 -

Good morning, sorry to have disappeared - had family ti sray and then went on half term hols.
I have completely list track of my drinking days but I had a couple of slightly excessive nights which made me feel terrible the next day. So I'm deciding that I shall start afresh in March.
So 21 days for me please Shaggy.
Didn't drink yesterday so feel great today and I can crack on with all the stuff to do!Trying to keep in budget.

OK, so, i need to come up with ideas to keep me busy on Friday nights. I dont want alcohol too much during the week, but i have kind of gotten into the habit of drinking a bottle every Friday night, as a way to unwind.
Any suggestions as to what i can to to treat myself and unwind instead?0
