PLEASE PUT YOUR TARGET AFDs IN A BOLD RED FONT and good luck!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Well done to all over the weekend....
I had to take my bottles out this morning for the glass recycling.. was mightily embarrassed- was full to the brim with wine bottles !! Some of which are still in athe garage as they wouldn't fit in the box !!! Haven't had that many visitors either !!
Won't be like that next month though ;)

Hope everyones having a nice Monday so far..

  • Hello everyone, just wondered if I can join in?

I did try for a while last year but fell by the wayside, however, my drinking really has gotten too much now! I really want to cut down and maybe just have a couple of drinkies at a weekend like a 'normal' person does!!

My main problem with putting off stopping drinking is trouble sleeping! I really don't do well on not much sleep and this has been the main issue every time I've stopped..... when I do manage to get to sleep I have hot and cold sweats and often wake up with the bed clothes soaking wet! :(

I'm joining Slimming World tonight also as the poundage has really crept on (due to the lager) so am really looking to cut down from today as it will help me all round!

If its ok to join in, I'd love to and if anyone has any advice regarding the sleep/hot n cold sweats thing that would be great!

    Thanks, Jo x

    Hi Jo,

The sleeping thing - me too - but part of my problem is I replace alcohol with coke, or tea, or something else that can't help!! so I bought some squash to drink in the evenings - I don't know how many adults really drink squash.

Now I just accept it when I can't sleep, get up and do something, and try to ensure I focus on the next day/ getting an early night/ whatever.

    Not very helpful! Sorry.

    HI dizzi, welcome aboard

The only thing I can say about the sleep thing is that its fairly common and IT DOES PASS! It is a temporary thing as your body adjusts. Hang in there
