I'm suffering with my head at the moment. I've been having a really stressy time of late and I've finally given in and had myself signed off work. I need to get some balance in my life for sure.

Haven't drunk tho'. Which would of been the normal 'treatment' so that's good.

Well done 365, but sorry to hear you're feeling down. Have one of these:grouphug:, it'll keep you warm and hopefully cheer you up a bit too. I think you've done the right thing taking advice from GP, I've guessed you've not been feeling right for a few weeks.

MissP, I'm with you on finding a comfortable place. As you know I've had to stand firm as a cutter-down because that's just where I want to be. Of course I'm delighted for those who are giving up and I know I need to be vigilant to make sure I don't let daily drinking creep back in. That's where the challenges help me so much (I'm a sucker for a smiley face and don't even mention little jumping men:D). Sorry dieting was causing you such grief. I'm doing OK but this is my first diet ever. I had contemplated just accepting the extra weight but I'm giving it a go. I'm so glad I cut down the booze first as to do both would have been soooo difficult.

Enough rambling, it's a great day here. Fog's just lifting and sun beaming in.

Can I join you please? Dh loves a drink (or five) every night and I have been sitting with one glass of wine to keep him company. What I really want is to stop drinking, except on special occasions. We have got ourselves into a habit which I know we can't afford and need to break. I also need to lose weight and the alcohol stops that happening too. I changed from a large glass to a small glass but know I can go further. Maybe by me cutting down DH will want to do so too.

ATM we have DB living with us and he buys the drinks, when he leaves next month I want us to have already broken the habit if we can.

    Hi all

Just joined as I'm trying to sort out my life and everyone here seems most supportive. I've got to cut down seriously and stop smoking too. I've got a Doctors appointment later as I've managed to convince myself I've got cancer and I've had the terrifying feeling where you 100% believe you have months to live! So what did I do after that though... guess! More beer more fags to calm down! My god!

I'm hoping today could be the turning point for me. If the doc says its not too late, I'm going to do it!

I'll be back regularly and wish everyone else the best of luck in what you are trying to achieve. I'm really scared but its my own fault and only I can fix it.

    Mark.

Mark, you'll be fine, honesty is the best policy and we are all here to help you through it.

Why not join our monthly AF challenge and pledge an amount of AF days for the rest of the month, or there are still 3 days left of Pen's Mon - Thur challenge, you could do 1, 2 or 3 days :)
