  • Its me!

Sorry for not posting for a few days.

    2 AFDs please.

Not very good, I know. I just can't stop drinking. As soon as I get an opportunity I want to drink and I generally do.

Partly because I have finally got my tax refund so I have money to buy drink. And partly because I just want to drink and am not fighting it at the moment. And partly because I really don't like my life at the moment and I want to make it go away and alcohol does that for me.

Ergo I am an alcoholic. A sorry state of affairs.

  • Cazz, sorry to hear you're having a bad time of it at the moment. Things will get better. Try to stay calm and your light bulb moment willcome. Try and be strong and positive as difficult as it may seem.

  • Hello lads and lasses. I'm back with my head hung in shame. I can't remember the last time I was here, but I haven't had a non drinking day since :o

This is day 1 for me. Feeling a bit shakey to be honest. But very, very determined. If that wasn't enough I'm doing the Special K diet aswell.

So here's to me and everyone else
Once the kids are in bed I'm coming back in to catch up. Will join a challenge if there is one.

    Love to all X
    Need to start again :o

    Alcoholism is an illness.
The way it worked for me is that it told me I couldn't enjoy life without booze, and it was right (if I didn't change).
I had to be willing to go to any length to get the willingness to change. Until I got willing, life was regularly messy and miserable.
Many people don't want to change, and they die sad, undignified deaths years before their time. That would be me if I drink again.

There's nothing sorry about being an alcoholic who is recovering.

  • Caz. A reminder.
Brilliant Sim, you are doing so well.

Any work is a good, positiive thing - go for it! I am sure you will be great.

And AA is so beneficial and worth it. I should follow your example and haul my big !!! back to meetings. When I attended, which was last year sometime, it was much easier to stay AF, focussed and committed to not drinking. Funny how one forgets these things.

  • Evening everyone,

I wish everybody who is struggling the very best of luck in getting to where you want to be. I do not have the experience of GC or RA but their words are always worth taking to heart.

Pen please include me in the Mon-Fri challenge and thanks again for organising it.

Shaggy 15 for November please. Thank you too for keeping it going, it helps me and many others I'm sure.

Good night and sleep well, it's a brand new day tomorrow.
