:T:T:T good luck Jo & keep looking forward.
Had a temptation day today as I was at a family `do` & was offered what looked like coca cola.....turns out it was a mix of alcohol:eek::eek:...with a dash of coke. Thankfully I spotted a can of Red Bull & that lasted me all afternoon.
Funnily enough in a wine glass it looked like wine & not one person offered me or pushed me for a drink as they though that I had a glass of wine already.....was a very unexpected result but one I shall use again as it certainly stopped the temptation.
Actually the Red Bull does make you feel as if you are drinking.....not sure whats in it though.
Hope everyone is OK.

Mmmmm, you and me both HB. I'm loving this show, it may be an upmarket, period soap but *** the critics I'm enjoying it!Aaagh, this is a cutting down as well as giving up thread; if this has helped you drink less over this weekend then happy days! :T
Best of luck with November
And so say all of us!!!:T:T:T0 -

PLEASE PUT YOUR AFDs IN A BOLD RED FONT
PLEASE WOULD YOU PUT ME DOWN FOR 10 THIS MONTH SHAGGY - THANKS FOR SCORING SO WELL AND OFFERING TO DO IT AGAIN!
When I scored I used notepad to hold a list of where everyone's scores was and used to copy it in from there. I did have some problems with the stars though so maybe that's why other folks scoring has been prettier and more fun to look at.
Molly Polly, wow, that's lovely news - best wishes to all of you and enjoy being a Nanny.
DB, sorry to hear about your washing machine, at least you saved having a plumber come out - that seems to cost a bomb.
Jo - good luck for November, I'm really impressed with how well you're doing!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning All :hello:
Another AFD for me so finished October on 25.

Hope you are all as you want to be today. I was just admiring the Jamie Oliver chicken pie I'd made when I realised I was standing in a pool of water. Kitchen floor flooded . The hose from the washing machine had come out of the pipe so all water was just pumping out under the kitchen sink. At least no plumber is required
Chicken pie made with frozen puff pastry 2 years past its best before date. That's MSE or mad but it tasted pretty good.
Off to wash all the wet towels used to mop up the floor.

Feeling a bit of a[STRIKE] Lurky[/STRIKE] Scrooge, as I'm resolutely ignoring trick or treaters of which we've had loads.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
This did make me giggle :rotfl: Sorry Lurkins :undecided
I refused to answer the door last night, last year older kids were on the rampage throwing eggs and flour and smashing car windscreens  :eek:As it's the start of a new month, I though I'd join you. I'm not too sure how I go about this, but I want to try and be AF Monday to Thursday. I work out that to be 18 days, so will sign myself up for the November challenge. I think I'll allow myself a few slip ups, so will go for 15 days.
Morning Aaagh, well done for deciding to join the challenge and good luck with achieving your target. Why not join in with some of the mini challenges we have throughout the month, might help you get into the habit of not drinking on certain days?
Morning all  well I have no idea how many I finished on this month, been making a point of not looking at the scores over the past 15 days that I've been sober. I will however do 30 days this month, there are no two ways about it
Have a lovely day everyone, I'm off to chuck the kids in the bath
