    Curry goers please take note!

It is still not too late to join in, please PM either me or Lurks for details. If you can't get to the pub or would rather go straight to restaurant then that is fine, indeed you may even want to come to pub for an hour but can't do restaurant, that's fine too :)

If you have not received details in the next hour and intend to come....PLEASE LET ME OR LURKS KNOW

    Thanks muchly =)

  • Hello, this is my first time posting on here and thought I'd introduce myself.
This week I will be 8 years sober. For me cutting down was not a option but was a route I tried once and looking back I think this aided me to carry on drinking rather than help. I called for advice and was sent a pack to write down my drink habits and was advised to try not to drink for 3 months, This I managed and was feeling really great, but as soon as those 3 months were up I picked up where I left off but with one big difference I know thought my problem wasn't that bad as I'd managed not to drink for 3 months. It took another 5 years of increasingly heavier drinking before I finally got help to give up all together.
Some of you on here will be able to cut down but for some the only option will be to try and give up.
    Good luck to all
    Hiney
  • SSG. As it happens, Jo has started a thread for general chat, This mornings exchanges are about a get together for a curry this weekend. It was arranged weeks ago so please be tolerant.

If you no longer wish to post then that is up to you but try not to forget there is a lot of support and encouragement here.

I've absolutely no axe to grind with you SSG. It seems you are very angry with yourself which is a shame. I hope things pick up for you very soon.
