Do HDNL employ any decent drivers with knowledge of the Highway Code?

Does anyone have a contact email to complain about the poor (not to mention aggressive and dangerous) driving skills of HDNL drivers?

One tried to ram me off the road on a dual carriageway at 7.30 this morning! His registration number was BU56GOP.

I can't find anyway to email HDNL except as a member of the press which I'm not.

I tried sending an email to enquiries@hdnl.co.uk asking for the contact details of someone to contact but so far I've heard nothing.

Not impressed at all. But then if the quality of their other employees matches the myopic muppet who nearly killed me this morning then they won't care.

Hmmm they don't make it easy to contact them - do they!

Tracked down their fleet director as one Brian Wheadon though based in Merseyside.

Found a few directors too but they don't seem to publish email addresses - wonder why not. ;) Maybe they have too many complaints diected at them.

Well I have chosen to email, at length, the lady out of that list because her email was easier to track down than the others! I have asked her to kindly pass on my complaint to the relevant person.

I will post here if I get a reply and what the result was if the incident is resolved at any point.

It will be very interesting to see if HDNL actually care about the calibre of their drivers or if they are so focussed on making money that they allow their drivers to disregard the safety of other motorists!

Went around to my parents yesterday to drop something off. As I was leaving I was cut up by a delivery driver. As he pulled away his tailgate swung open and a box fell out. I hooted and flashed him to stop but he just flicked the bird at me out of the window. I hooted and flashed again but he hooted back and sped off.

I've now got a parcel for some company 60 miles away in my hallway. I'll give the company a call on Monday and ask them what they want done about it. :D

  • If their website has no contact details, it's breaking the law - report them to the DTI/BERR/BIS - you can give them feedback on a website here (linky) or make a complaint here (Other Enquiries, another linky, same form).

    They do: http://www.hdnl.co.uk/Contact-Us/
  • Helix: if Takoda couldn't find the contact details they needed, then the HDNL website still needs to be reported to the BIS as the law's very clear on how and where companies should put their contact information, and what they need to put there.

Also, that Contact Us page seems to love throwing out 0871 numbers too, gee, are HDNL trying to make even more money out of people? ;)
