calm down calm down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gosh some people take things so seriously!!

Are you surprised people get annoyed when you come out with comments like:

" Other peeps who have just tried to be rude and whatever its obvious you overcharge stupidly and are in the little corner defending the 'overchargers' its dishonest!"

Why did you even bother to ask the question in your OP..." am I being rude"..then start attacking people who said "Yes".

Angelcake.....if you aren't big enough to take honest comments...don't invite them....and you certainly have no right to make comments about people like Laura with absolutely no foundation in fact. Why do you assume people who disagree with you also overcharge ???? If you check my first post on this...I actually agree with you about the seller's costs being far too high.

And please .... have the decency not to make comments about me in other threads on the forum...........( I've had 5 PM's about it......) I can assure you 100% that you certainly don't get my back up..........to be blunt the only emotion you raise in me is one of pity that you need to resort to attacking those people who answered your OP honestly and call them rude................. I've never been rude to you, unless you construe honesty as rudeness. I really can't be doing with people who make snide comments then hide behind the " I was joking " line.............................

Rude? No. Well, even if you think it is, I think it's funny. Cheek is good.

I work on the principle that most buyers dislike inflated postage charges, so I tend to price at what it costs me (usually find cheapest deal I can) plus a margin for packing.

  • So basically you wanted us to say you weren't being rude?

The whole point of starting a thread is to get different people's views but it seems that if we say yes, you were rude then we're all dishonest sellers!

  • Fee Avoidance - everyone with lots of similar items seems to be doing it, seems eBay wouldn't have many auctions running if they pulled all of them and the fee's they would loose.

At the end of the day if you want say a item on ebay with a total value of £65, sellers have these options,

    1 - Buy It Now £65 - free p&p
    2 - Buy It Now £55 - £10 Special Delivery
    3 - Buy It Now £10 - £55 Sellers Standard Rate

At the end of the day the buyer is paying the £65 they wanted to spend, of course the seller is avoiding fees but eBay make it back up when you accept payment by paypal.

I really cannot see the problem the total you willing to pay is the same and you are covered by paypal if theres a problem.

Until eBay change the fees to cover the whole transaction, theres nothing you can do.

    My thoughts

Thats exactly what I tried to explain several posts ago but I got accused of being a dishonest seller.

Youd be stupid to do free postage because that way you pay more fees. Either way Ill always try to cheat ebay out of money because their prices are so high.

Its of no concern to my bidders as it does not effect them. I state my terms and 98.9% of my 600 or bidders have been happy. That 1% is 6 or 7 revenge feedbacks and foreigners!

Last I checked, discussing how to 'cheat ebay' was rather frowned upon in this forum.
