Would be rather funny if she meant £3.50 :rotfl:

Maybe it is coming in a gold plated van?

lol!!! ....maybe it was gold plated which is why it was soooo heavy!!!
    :p:p Angel :p:p
  • When I sold my PS2 (before PIP) it cost me £20 to post. I think I stated £10 on the listing so yeah I made a fairly big loss on that one.

I think £15 is what most people charge and it is about £12 to send! I sent a huge hilti drill that was too heavy for me to carry about that just cost £14 so I charged £15!!!
PS2s aren't actually particularly heavy even with packaging, so they'd cost quite a bit less than that to pack & post: the actual p&p cost for a PS2 shouldn't be more than about £9.

Persoanlly I think you were a bit rude. When a seller gives me a postage quote that I believe is OTT I just ignore them and their auction.
You probably irked her by sending that reply.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

I think you were more "cheeky" than downright rude. I'd have replied: "Sorry, your postage costs are prohibitively expensive, but thanks for letting me know".

You can say almost anything if you say thank you afterwards. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
  • Yes...her costs were far too high.................... just a shame you have to sink to less than her level with ridiculous comments.

Still...as long as you think you're witty and clever....why bother asking what we think????????????????????????

The price she charges for postage doesnt affect what you pay for the item at all!!! So what are you bothered about?!?!?!!?

    Example... Guitar worth 500 quid...

Seller 1) Free postage.. your bid is thus £500.
Seller 2) £10 Postage... your bid is thus £490.
Seller 3) £300 postage... your bid is thus £200...

An ounce of common sense tells you that the postage charge is meaningless as you just bid accordingly once factoring in that expense......

An ounce of common sense tells you that the postage charge is fee avoidance and putting HONEST ebayers at a disadvantage... as well as buyers at risk.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

oh i more than agree with you and i know ur replying to previous poster, BUT the email she sent to the seller was in my opinion rude

I charge alot more for postage than it costs, one sim card i will charge around £1.50 and i think it costs about 30p. obviously i take into consideration my FVF, my paypal costs and listing costs

Some people will always abuse systems, i don't think i do that, but i dnt think her reply was right

Well your comment made me laugh!

Maybe you were a bit cheeky......but then the seller is a con artist so she deserved it!!
