I emailed them after they sent the 'sorry, you're not a member' email earlier today, explaining that they couldn't confirm as I used a different address.

I sent a bit of a snotty reply explaining that they maybe should have used mail addresses to crosscheck rather than email addys. Also threw in that I'd be complaining to Nintendo/ASA/Watchdog.

After it's become clear from earlier posts today that a lot of people are not going to get thier promised chessignton tickets Nintendo have issued this email.. I got mine 16:00 hrs today so presumably it's back-covering from Nintendo once they started getting complaints !!!I don't suppose they can do more to recover situation but they shouldn't have done it in the first place!!!! Please note i'm not allowed to post the actual link in case it's spam) it says it will check that it is from a NIntendo email so check your email inbox to see if you got one too!!!

    "Dear *****.
Thanks for applying for tickets to the Wii Party event on the 9th October. Unfortunately we've checked your details against Club Nintendo and you do not appear to be registered with us. As this is an exclusive event to reward our loyal Wii customers we would require you to be registered in order to guarantee you a ticket, and all tickets have now been allocated to Club Nintendo customers. We do however have 500 free tickets for people that are not Club Nintendo registered. So if you still want a ticket you can register at ******- but do it quickly as they will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
Finally, all primary ticket holders will be required to provide identification on the evening of the event - so don't forget to bring valid ID in the form of photographic ID or a debit, credit or solo card.
    Good luck!
    Kind regards
    The Wii Party team."

i just a follow up email from nintendo after they told me i couldnt come they then emailed me the following

so i dont know what to believe now? just have to wait and see if i get them or not?

I just got that too, I suppose we both jumped the gun, though it's easy to worry when we only have a few days to recieve the tickets. The postal service in my area is sluggish at the best of times so it's going to be touch-and-go for me. It would have been better if they'd organised this a month ago really.

I got exactly the same email so I've just bombarded them with proof that I'm very much a club nintendo member, I got the email invite and the "winning" ticket email. waiting on a respose now.
  • Nintendo acting very silly.. if they stated you had to have used the email you registered the console with would have done so

It definitely didn't state that clearly nor did it even state it was only for club members.

Good luck for anyone hoping to get the 500 tickets available to non-members.

I've stuck a complaint in with Watchdog for the hell of it. Lucky I didn't tell my little girl, the OH is a massive xfactor fan though so she'll be disappointed at not seeing Jedward.

This is the response I got from them when I told them I was a member...

    "Hi
Since we did not have your correct email address for you Club Nintendo membership you, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in obtaining tickets.
There are now 500 free tickets for people that are not Club Nintendo registered or for those members who have been unsuccessful in RSVP’ing on time. So if you still want a ticket you can register at ***** - but do it quickly as they will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
    Kind Regards

Again I got exactly the same thing, so I've sent them each stage that they sent me to my email address and my personal details from my club nintendo page to show them they've messed up.

    Waiting on reply now.

I've had the same and just sent a screenshot proving I am a member, what a kick in the teeth - worse still I emailled saturday and got told I'd definitely get them by thursday so I bought ferry tickets (travelling from iow)

I have the right email and mobile on there - who reckons they over sold - very disappointed.
