just found better complaints link. This is the institute of Promotional Marketing

• Am heartbroken myself, never mind the kids, to find out that because I stupidly used a different email address to the one registered on nintendo site, my promised tickets (as per the WINNING email) have not arrived.
Having phoned the nintendo helpdesk, they advised me to email the enquiries@wiipartyevent.co.uk ~ which remains unanswered. I AM a nintendo member and received the email legitimately so am so disappointed that at no point did they ask for any of my member details/username/email registered.
Bad, bad organisation of event!

Don't get heartbroken or mad... get complaining
From what I can tell this competition must have infringed competition rules. So contact .... especially if you actually got a formal invitation via facebook or Wii club... not too sure where people who entered via a forum tip-off stnad but it's worth a try!!!

PS COmplaining is good. Last week I got £70 worth of megabloxs kit for complaining that sainsburys had the megablocks HALO range next to the pre-school lego.
• !!!!!! it. I've complained and I wasn't even promised tickets. :D But it is naughty, so it has to be done. The more people that complain, the less likely they are to do it again!

I'm still going though, but £50 short. :o

I'm in the same boat (although my hubby does think we may be Wii club members!!!). Luckily I didn't tell my 5 year old but myself and hubby were really excited as we love theme parks.

I have complained too
• Seems they are just not replying to mails now. i will be complaining and trying to recover my lost cost of the hotel i have booked which is non refundable. im a nintendo club member, received the official email and another confirming i had won, so why do they think i would think i had not?

who is "complaints@theipm.org.uk"?

They are a trade organisation with a voluntary code of conduct. A bit toothless for my taste.

I went for ASA (Advertising Standards Association) and Watchdog. Big companies want to avoid bad publicity at all costs.

Dear Club Nintendo Member Thank you for your enquiry.
We have asked all our Club Nintendo members to RSVP in order to guarantee their ticket to the Wii Party Event as demand has been huge. Unfortunately we did not receive a RSVP from you before 16:00 3rd October.
Unfortunately we are bound by strict Health & Safety regulations which limit the maximum capacity within the concert area, and are therefore unable to allocate additional tickets to you. However, you will be entered into the prize draw to win tickets at Chessington World of Adventures on Saturday.
We will be reviewing cases such as yours and will let you know if we can offer you tickets .
For further details please contact us
Kind Regards
The Wii Party Team

This email has made me a bit nervous! I RSVP'd and got a 'thank you' page but no further email. I hope the tickets will come over the next few days though (I haven't told my son just in case).

I sympathise with those who were refused. If it was personal email invite only then it's understandable but if they linked to it from their facebook page and didn't make it clear that it was members only then they were clearly at fault.
